What does “toggle legend” in the overmap mean?

It refers to the legend of icons used to show map points, eg. F = forest/H = hospital/X = Radio Tower.

If you disable the Legend it will remove the list of Letter icons on the right side of the map screen.

I do not understand Sirquote either.
If I press the [t] key in the overmap, seemingly nothing happens.
What exactly is the [t] key supposed to do?
Could you please post a screenshot, Sirquote?
What version are you playing, Sirquote?
