What does the abbreviation C.C.B.o.t.T. mean?

Hey everyone, I have a weird question: what does the abbreviation C.C.B.o.t.T. mean? I came across it while translating the game, and I’d like to know because it only appears when examining ATMs.

Welcome to the C.C.B.o.t.T. ATM. What would you like to do?
Your current balance is\: %s

Not sure, looks like it was added in 2014 when cash was set up as a whole, with no explanation in the discussions and nobody touching that wording since.

Most ATM’s will display the banks name on them, or shorthand in the case of banks with long names - Toronto Dominion shortening to TD, etc. I’d presume this is something along the same lines, but considering the same PR assumes that the federal reserve moved the physical part of banking to automated orbital platforms, I’m at a loss as to what it might be. Whatever it is is almost certainly not canon anymore, as the games long since walked back most of futurism tech. i2amroy’s probably the only guy who knows what the acronym stands for at this point, and he’s not contributed in nearly a decade.

Thanks, I forgot about the existence of GitHub, maybe if I dig around there I will find answers to my questions

I think its safe to assume that o.t. is “of the”, B probably stands for Bank, which leaves CC and T as unknowns. Looking at PR context there’s a lot of code mentioning cash cards, which is what CC might stand for. And his comment also mentions capital T Treasury. So, Cash Card Bank of the Treasury? Sounds awkward tbh but thats the best I could come up with.

I found the answer. i2amroy wrote this in “ Draft of the Cataclysm Lore Writeup - #3 by i2amroy “ in the first line

T-20 Years: Nuclear power becomes increasingly miniaturized, with the required size limits dropping every year. Bowing to various pressures and the lack of use of printed money, the U.S. Federal Reserve and Department of the Treasury merge into a single entity, the Consolidated Computerized Bank of the Treasury. This new organization switches to a cash card based system, and cash cards become readily available for printing at all ATMs for a minor fee.

Thanks everyone!
