What compiler is used to create the windows executable that people are meant to use to play the game?

mingw or mingw-64. AFAIK that’s just a rebundled GCC.

Thanks! Last time I tried to compile the code using whatever compiler comes with the Code Blocks IDE, I couldn’t seem to get the build to complete.

Are there any contributes that develops on windows? Or is everyone using gcc via cygwin or a linux distro?
