Sawn-off shotguns are for cavemen. CBMs are for high-class rich folk. Why not just rip some bones out of your leg and stuff a breach-action shotgun in there instead?

Go back to pre-cataclysm days as you are, instead of zombies you have normal citizens (probably npcs taking the place of Z’s) going about their normal everyday business, you have to behave as if you weren’t trying to survive after an apocalypse, you try ‘acquiring’ goods from a shop instead of buying them? Cops show up to beat kill you. Your obviously mutated? Everyone runs around in panic calling you a monster and then the army shows to kill you. Try warning people of their impending doom? Your seen as any other insane doom-sayer and get locked away (game over).
You meet pre-cataclysm you? You die and the world is deleted (wiping out time).
