I cannot see what is wrong with a simple âhey guys, donât do that here pleaseâ.
Nothing at all. And worded politely, such as I think it was, thereâs nothing wrong with a simple âWell, I disagreeâ.
And that you consider it a joke, or a minor joke is one of the things that indeed caused the problem in the past.
I personally donât think thatâs what caused the problem in the past, but thereâs not really much point dragging that all back up.
A little thicker skin, as well as a little more sensitivity, depending which side of the debate youâre on, would go a long ways to keeping this place from devolving into Cataclysmic Drama Days Ahead once a year. Thereâs a reason this community is small. Tolerance shouldnât just imply that weâre accepting of all people, so long as they only embrace one particular world view. What seems more welcoming, a mildly sensitive joke people either ignored or found amusing and that no one took to be a personal attack, or someone accusing people of intolerance where none was intended? Which resulted in a potential argument, or the implication that someone was being stupid?
If you were somehow personally offended by that post, then Iâm pretty sure youâd have no trouble getting an apology from the person who made it. Iâd like to think weâre all fairly decent people here.
Anyway, think weâve all replied and debated now, so it doesnât seem like thereâs much more point to me continuing with this topic.

Bad idea time: You can train your base stats in different ways. Crunching soda cans against your forehead trains strength, one point for every can crushed, running over traps improves dexterity based on how dangerous the trap is, if you survive. Perception is trained by hitting enemies with a firearm while blindfolded, and intelligence is trained by filling out Sudoku puzzles you find in the wasteland. You can instantly gain max intelligence if you Commit Sudoku by stabbing a katana through 15 sudoku puzzles at once.
.
For the sake of realism, doing Sudoku puzzles should only make you think your intelligence is being raised, while actually lowering your perception.
