How do I turn off my vehicle turrets? I just took a glancing blow from a 120mm tank round and that didn’t need to happen.
It should have the option in the vehicle control menu, something along the lines of “Control turrets manually” and/or “Turn off turrets”.
I didn’t see a ‘Turn off turrets’, but I’ll check for the other when I finish off this horde. If that fails I’ll uninstall and reinstall the turrets to see if that fixes things.
You want to set the Turret Targeting Mode to manual for when you don’t want it to fire and to auto for when you want it to. It makes sense but isn’t very intuitive.
How much moves it takes to punch someone?
According to the wiki the formula is:
moves per attack = 65 + (4 x weapon’s volume) + (2 x weapon’s weight), with a penalty the less stamina you have.
So… 65+weapon volume (fist is considered 1 I think) + 2*weapon weight (which I think is 0 for the fist).
So we’re looking at 69 or 71 if your torso isn’t being encumbered by whatever you’re wearing.
No. Insect/Arachnid limbs prevents wearing clothes in the Body location, and Chitin/Furred Plate prevents wearing anything on the head.[/quote]Do arachnid arms replace arachnid limbs to allow one to wear power armor? That would at least let you wear all but the power armor helmet, no?
Anyway to find out the death coordinates for an already dead character?
Probably. By performing a search within the save files. Search with the dead character’s first or last name, so the search will probably return “the corpse of Dave the DeadAdventurer” or whatever. I use Notepad++ for searching text strings within files.
The upgraded ones seem to have no restrictions on gear, but they will drain 2 dexterity if covered by non-oversize gear.
Hello all…
I’w always wanted to try and live of the land in this game, where my first goal would be to build my own cabin of sorts, and for this im looking for a good character build, but where i myself make my tools and so on, kinda like a wilderness survivor… Any ideas for such a build?
I know about the Camper and Naturalist, but they seem OP to me, i want to work for the stuff… Live in the forrest / swamp, raid the citys… live of the land… any character build suggestions? Any ideas as how to approach it. i’w already tried and failed alot, now its time to ask you guys for abit of help
Thanks in advance

Lumberjack starts with a wood axe, so right off the bat you could chop trees. However you need adequate construction for that.
The best one imo is an archer. All you need is a bit of fabrication and archery and you’re golden. You can reach up to level 6 in survival in about 2 in game days of scavenging bushes.
Fabrication 3 and survival 3 is needed for a stone pot so you can boil water out in the sticks.
I’d recommend a bit of tailoring too, but that’s optional. I recommend tailoring for the obvious perk of being able to make clothing, but also because with a bit of tailoring you can make a birchbark quiver to hold your arrows.
You could be completely self sufficient and nomadic, but it’s best if you raid cities at night.
All the tips I can give you off the top of my head.

Best thing to do is run, but if it isn’t an option, lure it into a bush or bushes and fire arrows at it.
Another tip I forgot to add is that slings are easy to make and use pebbles as ammo.
Pebbles can be made by using something with hammering 1 (Generally a rock) and a rock to smash to bits via crafting pebbles.
Slings are good early game ranged weapons, good for killing small game animals to eat.

when i do wilderness builds and Want to go like /REALLY FUCKING/ hardcore , i start with shower victim in an evac shelter and drop both my soap and towel and go into the forest , and pretend that i was never in the shelter , and that’s where the RP starts
i usually give myself restrictions : 1-dont go into towns untill you survive 7 days
2-after that i can only go to the cities 1 day in the week
seems fair enough for a wilderness challenge tbh
I usually using fire to scare them out especially in the beginning of the game. Just burn something in front of them and then run.
Is it possible to have very small zombie spawn? Even with 0.1 spawn rate I have ,horde" in a small city. In a huge city it is just like Call of Duty-shoot or die. I want to have just a few zombies in city because I like mod with double zombie HP and triple damage. It is more immersive gameplay(for me). They can kill me easily and I don’t know where they are so I must be aware all the time
Yea.
Go into data/json/monstergroups.json
These two groups. Change the default monster to “mon_null”.
This makes it so that every time the game rolls a thousand sided die and fails to hit a critter it will spawn nothing.
Does Rat mutagen just require chunks of meat or does it need a special ingredient?
All the mammal transformations just need generic chunks of meat. Presumably because it’s easier to do that than add a separate item for rat, cat, wolf meat etc.
