What you need to replace an axle -
A vehicle jack. Jack stands. A socket and ratchet to get the wheel off. Metric socket set. A pair of diagonal cutters and a full set of metric wrenches. A hammer and a big pry bar.
Basic how to -
There are two axles (one for each side of your front wheel drive vehicle) so figure out which side you need to replace and remove that wheel. Remove the axle nut. Disconnect the lower ball joint. Disconnect the outer tie rod by removing the cotter pin and then the nut(may have to whack the spindle where the tie rod goes through the spindle to get the tie rod to pop out). Push the outer stub of the axle inwards through the spindle until it clears the spindle and is free. Pry out the inner end of the axle from the trans and remove the old axle. To install new axle reverse removal procedure. This job can be a real hassle if parts are corroded together.
That is replacing an axle, there is no difference in game from replacing an axle and installing one where there wasn’t before. Seeing as we don’t have to collect bolts, nuts, shocks, rocker arms, rack and pinions, and other parts you would need to build suspension/steering/axles from “scratch”, I think it safe to assume its been abstracted to welding things to the frame in a way that works.
Though an option to make cars require more parts, and more realistic install methods might be cool. Might even balance how powerful a vehicle is if you required more parts, and specific parts for things like axles based on wheel size and vehicle weight.
I’ve seen mention of quantum solar panels, where are these found?
