- Only “your” NPCs. They can’t starve to death, but will get debuffs from hunger and thirst.
- Yes, unless the floor above is non-flammable. Houses have flammable floors.
What you need to replace an axle -
A vehicle jack. Jack stands. A socket and ratchet to get the wheel off. Metric socket set. A pair of diagonal cutters and a full set of metric wrenches. A hammer and a big pry bar.
Basic how to -
There are two axles (one for each side of your front wheel drive vehicle) so figure out which side you need to replace and remove that wheel. Remove the axle nut. Disconnect the lower ball joint. Disconnect the outer tie rod by removing the cotter pin and then the nut(may have to whack the spindle where the tie rod goes through the spindle to get the tie rod to pop out). Push the outer stub of the axle inwards through the spindle until it clears the spindle and is free. Pry out the inner end of the axle from the trans and remove the old axle. To install new axle reverse removal procedure. This job can be a real hassle if parts are corroded together.
That is replacing an axle, there is no difference in game from replacing an axle and installing one where there wasn’t before. Seeing as we don’t have to collect bolts, nuts, shocks, rocker arms, rack and pinions, and other parts you would need to build suspension/steering/axles from “scratch”, I think it safe to assume its been abstracted to welding things to the frame in a way that works.
Though an option to make cars require more parts, and more realistic install methods might be cool. Might even balance how powerful a vehicle is if you required more parts, and specific parts for things like axles based on wheel size and vehicle weight.
I’ve seen mention of quantum solar panels, where are these found?

The problem with vehicles is that they have a high entry requirements, but after that become easy to expand. Adding more parts to collect will make it harder to start, but won’t make it harder to expand the vehicle, meaning it would worsen the problem.
Unless it also meant adding some limits, such as strict limit of n axles and x weight per axle, with anything above that requiring some giant, bulky, slow “heavy duty axles” or something like that.
Quantum solar panels are found at the bottom of the labs.
So, is the second part of faction description a randomly generated bullshit or does it actually describe the actions that said faction is taking right now?
The description of my followers seemed pretty accurate, but Free Merchant’s ultimate goal is apparently “spreading the fungus”, which doesn’t sound right(then again, they might be infected or even marloss mutated i guess…)
Factions are mostly placeholders.
Mostly, because faction relations to you are passed down to NPCs in those factions, but that’s pretty much it.
Those randomly generated goals were written “back then”, early in development, when someone had more ideas than will and time to implement them. They should probably be scrapped because they’re unlikely to ever be implemented in the form original author envisioned them.
How do mounted energy weapons work? I mounted a fusion gun to my car. Should it be drawing power from the vehicle? How does it work?
do wheels get damaged by driving on open fields instead of roads?

What units does the time period above represent? Ive seen enough in-game and in-json examples to have a rough idea of how long ‘168’ units are, but I still dont know exactly what 1 unit is.
Who releases the versions for this game? It seems there are multiple experimental versions released each day. Is that really a different version each time? Who has time to do that?
I believe a new “version” of the game is published every time a mainline mod, or the main game itself is updated. Since its a community sourced work effort… so yeah I would be shocked to hear that there was a single day i the past 2 years that didn’t have at least 2 PRs
There’s a bot that makes automatic new experimental versions every time there’s a new commit (read: change to the source code). At least, I think that’s how it works.
Only if you hit bushes or large rocks as you go. Otherwise, no difference.
How to move camera while shooting? its always stack on 1st target…
use movement keys
Does a tree trunk cause damage to a vehicle?
have to enable “snap to target” in options. but anyway thanks
I linked two electromotor cars with jumper cables. My car lost all electricity in batteries. Why? )
There were yellow storage batteries in my car, and no batteries in other car, but other car had solar pannels, and i suppose that my car should get electricity from there, but not vice versa
um… flame already answered that question when he told you to ask it here.
double check the solar car for any greyed out batteries. That means that they are still there but broken. So they will drain all the juice they are given. install a small battery in the solar and uninstall all the greyed batteries from it, preferably repair all the damaged batteries in both cars too.
Better yet move the solar panels to the other car when you get the chance.
Do springs spawn/drop anywhere? One of Travis’s goals is to build a survivor telescope since he cant find a pair of binoculars to save his life. Recoil stocks won’t disassemble and the seats I’ve taken apart so far haven’t yielded any…
I think the Arcades games disassemble/smash for some springs… I think some electric and machines give spring s too, washer/dryer, fridge or something like that. I know I’ve seen a few can’t remember where all from though. I think turrets and robots of various kinds frequently drop springs…
