Q1: Where do I find those car cameras?
Q2: Can I drink from an aluminium keg (note, after the drink from adjacent functionality was added)? I’m a little afraid to dump my water/clean water into it for fear of it being inacessible due to this or that weirdness…
1: Electronic stores are one place I’ve heard as an option. Also look for those robot street sweeper vehicles, and some monster-based robots might yield a camera when dismantled.
2: Stand over the space you dropped the keg on, hit the eat key, do a literal kegstand. Though with the newer experimentals, you should be able to do so while standing near it instead. But a kegstand is still funny.
Strength would be the limiting factor, and pain as it acrues because youre trying to move it. You just gotta know what you can and cant move.
Aluminum kegs should be perfectly moveable fully loaded if you dont mind some pain or short bursts of movement and recovery. 55gallon drums, however . . . took me a few days to get one of those from a pool across the street to a parking lot that served as my garage. all of 40 tiles o.o
If you can grab it long enough to unload it into smaller containers that would help. but anyways.
So after starting a new character in one of the recent experimental builds I found a 7.5kW Generator. How does it work? I’ve yet to decide what vehicle to go for, there are quite a few in good condition near my outpost, so I didn’t feel like wasting batteries to test it out.
What does the power armor interface CBM do? It eats up a lot of power and last time I used it while wearing power armor I didn’t notice anything different.
Turn it…on?.. Oh God, I have been using power armor wrong this whole time. How do you even turn it on? I am pretty sure I have tried "a"ctivating it many times just in case.
It should give a proper activation message when turned on. You can also check your character screen. When you’re wearing acvtive power armor, the encumbrance will be lower, and the temperatures should all normalize at 0.

You need to turn both the power armor and the interface cbm.

You have to have the power armor helmet too. Then the armor has less encumbrance and keeps your temperature at comfortable while it’s turned on.
Bear in mind that, despite the name, in reality the Power Armor Interface CBM only reduces the energy consumption of power armor. It doesn’t actually supply it with energy. You’ll still need a UPS for that.
The rationale, presumably, is that the bionic is supplementing the drain on the UPS with bionic power. However even when you have the Internal UPS CBM, and your power armor is thus consuming bionic power directly, it’s still more efficient to turn the interface bionic on.

Thank you for making that clear. I’ve wondered about that almost since I first started playing. Actually getting a full set of power armor (especially with the hauling frame) is so rare I just hadn’t bothered figuring it out.
How does the Power Armor Mk II CBM fit into this? Even more efficient, I assume? What if you run them both at once?
In strictly vanilla Cata, the Giant Frogs that spawn all over swamps are the only truly reliable large sources of meat and untainted fat. They’re my prey of choice when making pemmican and preparing other non-perishables for winter.
The giant slugs and giant crayfish can also provide some noticeable amounts.
Tainted tallow is MUCH easier to get that tallow/lard/fat, and it can replace tallow in almost all non-food applications - I highly recommend doing that.

A number of other vehicles has them, as I recall. I use the vehicles mod and tank mods, so I’m not exactly sure what cars have them without the mods. There’s also crafting them, but that requires a fair amount of skill in electronics and computers, and probably a recipe book. As I recall, the cheaper recipe requires two eyebots and a number of common materials.

You can even drink from a full 55 gallon drum.
Just put your lips around the opening and start sucking, vacuum pressure will do the rest! o3o
