Yes.
3. Will adding more solar panels increase the rate at which energy is gained?
Yes
4. ...Does more mass mean higher fuel/energy consumption?
Generally yes, but only if that mass is not mass involved in the moving of the car, IE. engines.

How can you protect yourself from the zapping of robots?
I mean, apart from running away screaming like a girl while trying to blast them from a distance.
Maybe some torso gear with enough environmental protection?

if you mean electric dmg you need an artifact that gives you electricity resistance.
Yes, that was what I meant. Sorry for not being clearer.
So, is that the only protection currently provided in-game?
Rea the third sticky in this section of the forum (the bunker)
Can I have Light Eater and Gourmand traits at the same time?
One more question: any way to generate a new world without losing my current save? (i.e. not that I want to play the current char in a new world, but rather to create a new world without irrevocably losing the current one)
Manual-copying the save folder would be about it. Wouldn’t know which files you’d need, though. Sorry about that.
Does solar panel work with a roof?
Solar panels are kinda bugged right now, sometimes the game doesn’t properly recognize that a car is in sunlight. I suggest that at the moment you don’t go for any solar powered cars right now.
Anybody know of a way to increase number of items you can carry? Half the time, when I’m looting tons of small things, I can’t even seem to reach weight or volume limit because of the 75 item limit.
Until such time as the container system is updated to allow for it, no.
Hello guys, meganoob here. I have lots of questions.
1)With which button can i drink water from lakes or toilet?
2)Can i fill an empty bottle of water again with water? And with which button?
3)How can i lock doors so that zombies or wolves stay outside of cars or houses?
4)Can i drink or gather water from rain?

Don’t forget to clean the water.

Do not take this advice, I had a solar car from a mid/late June build, and with 7 solar panels and nine batteries I never got below 70% fuel, even with two engines. When I had only one engine, 4 solar panels 5 batteries was enough to never have me down below 90%, but I beefed up the car in-between those two points.
I think the only ‘bug’ is something to do with it takes the base frame-piece of the car into consideration for whether or not it’s in sunlight, which has caused some issue somewhere else.
I have a solar car with a build a week old and I still encounter the solar panel bug. Even when I put a frame jutting out of the car’s side and slap a solar panel onto it, I am still not getting any juice in the storage batteries.
One of the discovery I’ve encountered, at least with preexisting solar vehicles, was that they didn’t charge until after I have went into the control seat and turned them on at least once regardless of whether or not they were capable of driving in the first place.
I drove through 3 towns and still nothing.
Have you check the weather and map tiles? If headlights are loaded off-tile, within even a short distance, they don’t shine and I’d expect solar panels would behave the same way, and it seems even cloudy at noon is enough to render the solar panels ineffective. Pure sunny is not too common iirc, what with the 12 hour thunderstorms.
Edit: I think I noticed some of the behavior… it seems to charge only when you’re on the car, any space. I’m going to make a mention in the bug section.
