Exactly, anything with Quick Strike is delicious.
Kinda wanna try centipede style in a later playthrough. See how fast it gets alongside the rapid attacks and whatnot.

Krav Maga is enough op as it is when barehanded.
Fast strike should have a heftier damage reduction.
If anyone happens to found an ancient Martial Hero-supplement for Hero System it has some more martial arts to be ported to Cata.
But it’s the delicious kinda OP. ;A;
Krav maga… OP… no not really, If i go unarmed I’d more often than not simply use brawling.
Krav maga gives you a chance to stun and that’s it ( Even if it is 95% stun chance, Most martial down/stun/etc opponents aswell )
currently i’m only using it for the cutting-damage buff when i wield a sword.
Lately i’ve just been using Fencing while wielding a walking cane & wearing leather cat ears & a cloak. now that’s epic.
No, it gives you a chance of stunning WITH a quick strike givin you three chances in the amount of time it takes to land a SINGLE blow with other methods.
Granted, same thing happens with all of em having a quick strike, so it isn’t solely Krav to blaim.

Also use a fencing + walking cane as well. The fact that it can counter while you’re busy doing something is super handy.
Though recently, I’ve stuck to using a heavily modded scout rifle with a diamond bayonet. So far, thanks to melee skill, it can stun most zombies, if not kill them in one go.

At high unarmed level you really won’t be seeing any quick strikes from krav maga, Nothing much beside jab’s.
[sub]Altho i do credit Krav maga for as much as bruteforcing your way through a jabbawack while wielding a nail knuckles early enough in the game that you didn’t even build your first vehicle is worth[/sub]
I have been seeing the merits of Karate though, as it gives you the spammable quick strikes with a defensive buff.
Fencing is also neat though, another good defensive style. I love using a broadsword with it. owo
Wait, Fencing with a Broadsword? That’s some Highlander level shit right there. I gotta try it.
When selecting a martial-arts style click on [?] to get a description of em. Fencing in particular gives you a list of all the weapons you are able to use with it ( However short it may be )
Do note this is an early modern broadsword as in more like a thick rapier, not broadsword as in a viking-style proto-arming-sword like you might be thinking. o3o
Do note this is an early modern broadsword as in more like a thick rapier, not broadsword as in a viking-style proto-arming-sword like you might be thinking. o3o
In general, “Broad-sword” is a name given to typical european swords after the introduction of rapiers in the 1600’s or something along those lines, I’m not a hystorian i just watch Matt Easton ranting on youtube
the “Broad” In it’s name is referring to how they’re broad compared to a rapier. Not the fact that they’re somehow more broad then swords that came before them.
Yus. Though it has been sometimes used to refer to some medieval swords, and I’m fairly certain D&D can be blamed for that. owo
Hence suggesting Shopkeeper’s amazement is due to confusion.
I STILL want a style that works with the zweihander though.

By the name of Matt Easton there must be manuscripts about the techniques used with the Zweihänder or simply those used with two-handed weapons. Altho i’d have to go scavenging through his videos to find out they’re names >_>
Yus. I had been mucking about with a style based off the German school of swordsmanship before, as part of an unreleased mod that also added an arming sword. owo
I think someone’s said that Ninjutsu at least works with weapons in general, but still.

And what of that german Dueling-shield? xD
That’d be glorious, that huge spiked shield?
Yeah some melee martial arts as opposed to unarmed ones wouldn’t go amiss mate
Anyway ninjitsu, Always thought it merely made the weapons silent, haven’t ever tested weather it actually uses the techniques.
Ohgodwut. owo
And maybe, would be fun. Had also cobbled together a somewhat DF-style Pankration as well.

By their definition it was a sport combining both wrestling and boxing techniques, With the only rule being not biting or gouging eyes out.
By modern terms i’d consider that MMA… Or in ingame rather your general unarmed (skill) without anything in your arms.
a set of moves for it ( Unless such exists ) Wouldn’t go amiss either! Altho… That’s kind of covered by brawling.
True, though adding throws, armlocks, and chokeholds would be valid reasons to make it a style. Had a rather rudimentary combo system where you score a grab, then randomly use an appropriate move.
Pankraton also had punching (they had a lovely fistweapon for it) and joints were twisted apart unlike in more “civilized” versions.
Sounds quite valid ( And satisfying, In an non disclosed manner ) altho a somewhat unheard-of name as a martial art
in game mechanic terms, There’s one relevant thing i’d truly like to see added- Disabling limbs. Ofc that’s allot more of a mechanic that a pro of a martial art but still.
