Darn I would have liked sole-less steel toed boots.

While I’m at it, will smashing open a bank safe destroy the contents? Failing that, any way to open it without a stethoscope?

Yes it will at the vary least keep some of the contents. I both opened and smashed safes to be sure. Remember you need heavy stuff to break them.

Sledgehammer and 20 strength likely should be enough. owo

For lack of a stethoscope I’ve been using Sonic Resonator to break open banks safes. It doesn’t seem to damage the safe’s contents any, the couple suits of power armor and fusion blasters I picked up seem no worse for wear. It did seem to break the flasks of purifier inside though, which makes sense.

I usually play with the “scoundrel” profession. So I always start with some marijuana. I was wondering if there were any positives to doing drugs (marijuana, cocaine, alcohol Etc.)
How would one go on building a space marine?
I belive the current CBMs and mutations cover most, if not all, abilities that make space marines mankinds finest, but I never dealed much with these and my days of wh40000k are long gone.
So some suggestions are welcome.
Bolters aka big guns that blow stuff up need to be added with jump packs, though.
I’ve been thinking about this myself for the same reasons… I’ll seperate these into “stuff every Character can have” and “stuff a Space Marine should have, but that are locked behind mutually exclusive Tresholds”

Traits/Mutations:
1.) Quick/Fleet-Footed/Road-Runner, Deft
2.) Extremely Strong/Extremely Dextrous/Extremely Perceptice/Extremely Smart
3.) Full Nightvision, Infrared Vision, Nictating Membrane
4.) Very Fast Healer, Pain Resistant, Quick Pain Recovery, Robust Genetics, Strong Stomach
5.) Disease Immune, Parasite Immune, Infection Resistant, Addiction Resistant, Substance Tolerance
6.) Less Sleep, Good Hearing, Light Eater
7.) Tough, Durable, Unbreakable, Thick-Skinned, Tough Feet, Resilient
8.) Regeneration
9.) Good Memory, Optimist
10.) Packmule, Strong Back, Self-Aware,

Post-Treshold Exclusive Mutations:
Prime: Prime Strength/Dex/Int/Per, Very Little Sleep
ELF-A: Very Little Sleep, Tireless
Medical: Very Quick Pain Recovery, Infection Immune
Ursine/Cattle: Large (and probably Freakishly Huge too)
Ursine/Beast: Insanely Strong
Ursine/Cattle/Medical/Chimera: Solidly Built
Ursine/Cattle: TAAANK
Ursine/Raptor/Chimera/Beast: Apex Predator
Troglobite/Rat/Chimera/Raptor: Intestinal Fortitude

Bionics:
I’ll leave the number of storage and generation devices (though really, Joint Torsion Ratchet is the only one that “fits”) up to you.

Power Armor Interface Mk II is a no-brainer.

Passive:
1.) Diamond Cornea, Cerebral Booster, Muscle Augmentation, Wired Reflexes, Synaptic Accelerator, Targeting System
2.) Subdermal Carbon Filament & Torso Alloy Plating (the Black Carapace), Air Filtration System, Membrane Oxygenator
3.) Anti-Glare Compensators, Expanded Digestive System, Recycler Unit, Protective lenses (the closest thing we have to acid spit, alas), Enhanced Hearing

Active:
1.) Adrenaline Pump, Blood Analysis, Leukocyte Breeder System, Radiation Scrubber System, Scent Vision, Sensory Dulling, Time Dilation, Uncanny Dodge

Equipment:
1.) Heavy Power Armor, Heavy Power Armor Helmet, Power Armor Hauling Frame (Armor)
2.) Broadsword/Survivor Machete (Combat Knife)
3.) RM88 Battle Rifle (closest analogue to a bolter)
OR
3.) Milkor MGL Grenade Launcher (mod its magazine size to 24 for that Bolter feel)

Build the entire thing off a person of middling intellect, but good Perception (10+) and exceptional Strength and Dexterity (12+ base at least).

All drugs boost morale
Weed helps against vomiting and thus can allow you to eat some rotten food and bad water (if you can tank the pain and damage)
Weed and alcohol help with falling asleep and numb pain (alcohol numbs pain more)
Cocaine boosts stats as a stimulant
Meth is an amazing stimulant, pretty much a stimpack
Heroin is a powerful painkiller

Sadly, even with Debug Mode you can’t have all the Post-Treshold mutations, and I’m far too lazy to add an Astartes mutation category just for those.

Can anyone gimme some !!SCIENCE!! on the effects of the Itchy Metal Thing and Bionic Short Circuit faulty bionics?

I know Itchy Metal Thing causes you to scratch your torso, don’t know if it has any practical effect. Bionic Short Circuit will ocassionally electrocute you, dealing both damage and a short duration stun. I think it also drains 100 Bionic Power everytime it does it to.

That would be cool indeed.

I think itchy metal thing can do a little damage to your torso, and cancel whatever action you’re doing at the moment, like crafting.

If you really want to become a Space Marine or perhaps more aptly given the circumstances a Thunder Warrior (the original badass supersoldiers the Emps brewed up on Holy Terra to conquer the techno-barbarian warlords, but later killed off because they were to blood thirsty)…

I’d recommend starting 15/8/8/8 in stats, then going Post-Threshold Alpha which will land you at 18/15/15/15. Get yourself the four +2 stat boosting bionics for 20/17/17/17. Then for those rip and tear moments, Hydraulic Muscles and the Adrenaline Pump bionic to push your strength up to 45.

If you want the Thunder Warrior aesthetic you’d stop mutating here (baseline superhuman), but for a more Space Marine like build brewing up and injecting some Troglobite Serum will do the job. You can get full night vision; quick, light eater, infrared vision, regeneration, disease immune, and infection resistant which are all pretty great and Space Marine-like. Venomous and slimey are welcome nice-to-haves also and you can easily play the latter off as a quirk of your geneseed (I think a Chapter did actually produce and were all slimey).

The negatives of it include the sun-sensitive line of traits, which are simple to work around, just carry an umbrella. Near-sighted is essentially just +1 eye encumbrance when wearing masks over your glasses. Slit nostrils’ just a straight +1 mouth encumbrance. Carnivore is defintely kinda meh, but you are a goddamn Space Marine, so you should hunt for your food.

After all that find yourself a suit of Heavy Power Armor, make yourself a diamond broadsword or zweihänder (Power Sword), pick out your choice of the largest, nastiest looking piece of heavy weaponry you can supply ammunition for (bonus points Aerotech Plasma Weapons) and start cleansing Holy Terra one Xeno and Chaos Cultist at a time.

So the USB with HackPro is for control laptops, while the misc. software is for those missions about retrieving computer data at home, but what does the USB with MediSoft do?

I thought that was Motor Control Overstimulator that stuns you? the short circuit things is called bio_shakes in the code, so I thought it might act like the Jittery effect. O.o

What would be the best layout to put a quantum solar panel in a car without getting it damaged?

Generally away from the outer tiles of the vehicle, as those are the first parts that’ll get bashed by zombies, and the first parts that’ll hit anything you run into.

I’d say at least two tiles in as the second row of tiles can also get hit if you’re driving diagonally.

Also, is there any reason why a normal sized blob will be friendly with me? I don’t recall opening a goo canister, and I checked my inventory and there’s no empty canister as well.

Closest I could think of to explain this is I hacked some skitterbots, and they may have stepped on a goo pit.
