Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

As far as I know, deletion is final. ;w;

I know the answer to this has been posted before, but I can’t for the life of me find it. How does one go about moving a character from one world to another? I’d like to bring my main survivor over to a world with hordes and NPCs enabled.

Edit: Nevermind, found it after a little more searching.

In the experimental, has anyone figured out how to get rid of “glowing” yet? I just died because it wouldn’t bloody wear off. Seriously, it just kept going and going and going…

I ran out of town being chased by 2 hulks and a predator or 2, and I got too tired to run any more, and they still chasing me. I fought them, and they knocked by out of sight radius (it’s night) at least 5 times, and I ran from them, and they kept catching up, because I was STILL glowing.

?!??!!!

There needs to be SOMETHING to do about it, even if it takes time and gets you hit some in the process.

“glowing”? Is that a new mutation or something?

It’s from getting hit by a huge boomer’s bile, and it’s always worn off relatively quickly for me.

Huge boomers do it to you when they goop you. It should wear off though in short time. Sounds like a bug if it doesn’t.

It generally has worn off fairly quickly for me before… but not every time, and this one just went on and on and on until I was dead.

I don’t play on the latest experimental so I can’t test it, but maybe you can wash it off by jumping in a river or getting caught in the rain?

Try a towel, too.

You would really have to lose the line of sight to your chasers in a more dense setting, rather than on any open ground. Note that creatures can track you by scent, too. I would imagine that’s what the predator zombie would do. It probably has great hearing as well. Smoke or tear gas can destroy scent, IIRC.

Both good suggestions - I may to do some debug testing to see.

And usually, yes, I try to get out of sight, but this I was on the edge of town surrounded by a big flat expanse of nothing, and I hadn’t cleared the town at all yet, so I couldn’t run into the town safely, either.

I really like some of the new zombies, on the whole - they make up for the spitter nerf (their acid doesn’t destroy damage equipment EVERY HIT any more), this particular aspect is just a big adjustment, especially in the cases like this where it lasts and lasts and lasts…

I have robbed six banks and finally found the combat armor, but I can’t pick it up! If I right click the safe it closes instead of letting me pick up items. I feel very noobish right now. How do I pick up things from safe?

Assuming the safe isn’t locked up, stand next to it. Lowercase “e” and then the direction the safe is relative to you. owo

I was about to say “You pick up items from a safe just like you’d pick up items from any adjacent tile” but you… you use your mouse? How bizarre and eccentric. Either you are a lunatic or a genius far beyond my own intellectual grasp. Might I still suggest that your grace would turn his attention to the keyboard, the true instrument of power? The various combinations of key presses can reveal most intriguing secrets and further your cause in taking over the world.

How would one go on building a space marine?
I belive the current CBMs and mutations cover most, if not all, abilities that make space marines mankinds finest, but I never dealed much with these and my days of wh40000k are long gone.
So some suggestions are welcome.
Bolters aka big guns that blow stuff up need to be added with jump packs, though.

Obviously the UPS CBM and Power Armor Interface will be mandatory for making a spess merheen feasible.

After that? Combat chainsaw, Mark 19.

What’s a good way to stay warm in Labs? I have the shaggy fur mutation and the climate control cbm but I still get cold. Is there some other cbm or something I could use? Also, I don’t power armor in my world.

Thermal electric outfit, perhaps? Full body coverage and all, and I think it’s a plus 50-60 in warmth when activated. You could also try finding a jedi cloak which provides a lot of warmth to several body parts (I think the hands and feet are the only ones not included) and you can find them in lab bedrooms sometimes.

Fur cloak helps too.

Two things one I think the thermal outfit also cools if its too hat. Also a question.
Is there a piece of foot wear that when worn you are still considered barefoot? This is for the purposes of protecting legs and getting the benefits from padded feet.

Afraid not. That’s the sole (huehuehue) purpose of foot rags in fact, is negating the barefoot penalty.

Likewise, even fingerless gloves prevent using claws. ;w;
