Does acid rain still occur? I haven’t seen it in a very long time. Also what are tank bots and how do I avoid them? I keep hearing about them but I haven’t ever seen one. Do they occur only in specific places or do they just exist like brutes? I wanna know before I start exploring much because i’m really attached to the character I have right now. Normally I get bored of one after around 15 days and start over, but this one still feels enjoyable.

Last I heard(a week or so ago?) there is currently no acid rain right now. Turned off due to bugs(maybe balance depending on whom you ask).

To my extremely limited knowledge they’re supposed to spawn with road barricades, but again I’m unsure.

Here’s a neat trick using the charcoal kiln. If you can carry it around, find enough wood, turn on your flash light and fill the kiln, then turn your flash light off. You can just activate it to get instant brightness for reading into dark weather.

If you can make the kiln, you can easily make lightstrips, which are infinitely better at this job and don’t make you visible.

They’re surprisingly easy to assassinate at night, but if you see one during the day, just run. Or if your speed is below average, take stimm drugs and run.

Nope.
Glass items will always break (purifier is stored in flasks). Not sure about the others, but don’t think they take any damage. Just grab a shovel, because they’re likely to get buried.

Yes.

Only full containers, unless you are pouring into a smaller container.

APCs are hard to drive, I may have just crashed one into my large tent.
How do you repair large damaged tents? I tried using the soldering iron since it was plastic and aluminum, but now I just have a reinforced large damaged tent, which doesn’t really make sense but okay.
I’m going to assume it either can’t be repaired or it’s a crafting recipe, and what skill level is it at, because I can’t find it with 7 fabrication and 6 survival, which it would make sense to know how to repair a tent with those skills.

No, that’s the shelter kit. I don’t think tents are as easy to fix.

I don’t suppose it’s possible to permanently change what hotkey goes for which tool or weapon or such?

For example, I am used to my pocket knife being assigned to f, my sewing kit being assigned to q, my crowbar h, etc.

It gets a bit tiring resetting it every time I die.
