Something that I’ve been wondering about for ages now - does having rotten food in your inventory or on the ground attract zeds or wild animals? I’m not sure if it would, considering zeds don’t attack each other and I’m sure they smell pretty rotten. It would be pretty neat if you woke up in a campsite with a backpack full of rotten food to find yourself getting mauled by raccoons, or a bear rummaging through your car’s trunk for those rotten burgers you forgot about.
Do car components drain batteries even when “off”?
All my car is in the green. I checked battery levels before sleeping and it was at 5-7%. Somewhere in there.
I wake up. On a clear day. 1% battery. NOTHING is on. I have a fridge, but it’s off. I want to be able to drive out of here! any ideas short of cannibalizing my car to make a shopping cart-style battery charger? I have about 8 solar panels.
Did you make sure to turn off the engine / headlights? If so, then that is really odd.
engine, headlights, overhead lights, fridge, recharging station could all be draining power if not off.
for engine, just letting go of the controls aint enough, you gotta stop driving and turn it off…
What does focus do?
I’ve just built a tree person and she has the rooter trait, by walking into the soil the info says “this soil tastes delicious” and then I lose focus.
It’s already -600 and counting. I’m on 2121 Win Tiles experimental.
AFAIK, focus is needed when you learn stuff, the higher the value, the faster you will learn a certain skill. It can increased if you have a good morale and decreased for the opposite reason. But I don’t know if they changed that or not, since I don’t remember having a negative focus value.
Nah, stuff just spawns hating you. Having rot around wont up the spawn rate.

Im assuming you are at -600 morale? Sounds like a bug. Focus should range from 100-0. If you have 50 focus, your skill gain is 1/2 what it would be if your focus was 100. Having high morale from say eating good food, listening to music or smoking some weed (you can check you morale with (v)), will increase how fast your focus regens. Every time you do something that ups one of your skills, you loose a bit of focus, if you walk around and do nothing and your morale isnt really bad (say you just killed a pile of zombie kids) your focus will regen.
im pretty sure moral boosts focus and focus is used to learn skills, the more focus you have the easier it is to learn… (at least that’s what i’ve been able to gather just from playing the game.) So yeah, i hope you had everything leveled to what you wanted.
try open your character with notepad + and cheat your focus to 50 it will regenerate slowly
or
get high morale it will speed up regeneration of morale and maybe focus will get back to normal
where i can get some palsma weapons?

It’s a bug. I’ve a fix waiting to be merged.
You’re authorized to use the debug menu to obtain whatever morale-boosting gear you may require to restore your Focus to acceptable levels.
Oh–and congratulations on your plant-y status. Aside from a nasty bug, how do you like it?

Hey, KA101, how in the hell do you access the debug menu anymore?
Last time I was around, you had to edit the keyconfig to access it.
Now i have no fucking clue what to do.
How do I deal with zombie dancer?
Especially after a while they turn into bunch of hulks…

I’ve got a question concerning Petrified Eyes, I know they are an end-game item, but how often do they spawn in antique shops?
On one of my short-lived characters I went with a smash and grab approach of an Antique store and it was one of the things I looted from a locked display case.
I’m fairly sure they’re a bit rarer than most things.
So I dun goof’d by getting turned into Zomb-chow?
Nah, it’s unlikely you would have stayed alive and explored enough to find the place used for it.

Thanks.
Never needed to ask a question on the forums, been playing since .1 but I need advice. I had genetically unstable, and while I was sleeping I developed minor and then normal radioactivity within only an hour of sleeping. I already had broken limbs, so I hurried to the hospital to get those fixed. Now I’m very radioactive, all my stats are crap, I’m in serious pain from the stemcell treatment, and the radiation is killing me. My plan is to keep popping Iodine tablets and healing myself while trying to clear out a lab near me to hopefully find enough purifier to get rid of the radioactive mutation.
What should I do? Is this the best plan? Any other way to deal with it if I have no CBMs?
Do you have any atomic items near/on you? Are they damaged?
