Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

It always has been. Might make you cough though.

Well, that’s fantastic! Now i am a step closer to make my sauna now! :stuck_out_tongue:
…Or at least now I don’t need to move the generator back and forth to the outside when it’s charging batteries.

Salt swamps or salt marshes, do they exist currently? I’ve seen them mentioned like they do, and that they’re a good source of salt water. I’ve checked all the swamps I’ve come across so far and no salt yet. If there were ones with salt how would I be able to tell them apart from the normal ones?

The current bug where the ambient temperature influences food rotting when cooking makes summer really brutal, I’d kill for access to some salt water to make jerky with.

You can’t really tell unless you bottle it/ try to craft next to it.

Damn, was afraid of that. Do I have to meticulously go through the swamp area and check every square of water (as I’ve mostly done so far) or is it a case of the whole area will be salt water if it’s a salt marsh and not just a few squares here and there?

Its just sorta pock marked throughout.

To use a built-for-Stable mod pack with the experimentals I need to edit some file, right? Like with tilesets?

Depends on what it changes. Some are simply incompatible.

How can I disassemble a broken tank drone? The thing is too heavy to carry, I can’t do anything through the Advanced Inventory Management, and the disassemble command only works for your inventory.

A quick newb question. How to craft exploding arrowheads? According to the wiki i have the right stats (ive got fab 7, archery 7, mech 3) but they dont show up in the crafting menu. Exploding arrows do but the arrow heads dont. Maybe im just missing something, it could well be in a book but ive read the Fletchers book and the Novice bow hunter book all the way through. I also have all the components to make the arrow heads according to the wiki.

Ayyyeee, 100Rads! Haven’t seen you in a while. Anyway, you can stand over them and butcher them. B works as dissembling stuff on the ground.

Wiki is more or less wrong all the time 70% of the time. But arrowheads should he auto learned by your point… strange.

Yes, but it takes forever. I’m talking days. And if you stop you can’t resume your task.

For big things, yes.

I already tried using B, but it didn’t do anything.

Do you have the tools…?

Yes, of course.

As I will continue to proclaim, use the CDDA Item Browser to get up to date information on items, it has a category for either the current stable and the latest experimental versions.

As for the info you’re looking for, you need to learn the recipe from one of two places:
Either the Anarchists version of the AAA Guide 2040 or the Handloaders Helper.

(Side note here: Can we get the item database to be stickied somewhere on the forum? It’s handy and is always up to date on the latest info.)

How can I remove an empty door frame in 0.A ?

Dynamite

Is there a less explosive way?
