Fun idea: Fill an ancient temple full of bugged zombie slaves and then take your npc horde on an expedition. All survivors get to not be looted!

Fuck yes, time to go make loads of zombies my Lydia’s, aka make them carry all the shit you don’t want to if you haven’t played skyrim.

But OMG I can’t wait for this, although the morale penalty is pretty harsh. Understandable if it was a zombie child but come on its a damn zombie, lower the morale penalty a bit yo.

teleporter pads work on zombies and other things? i got 72 teleporter pads and only one is used as escape route so i am thiking to set up some pads outside my base to make zombies and wild life telefrag others

They work with everything, through their utility as a defence measure is questionable as the zombies might as well teleport inside your walls

Can anyone explain cash cards? Their cash value doesn’t match what they barter for… Also I found a bank machine but I don’t know what to do with it. I mean, how can I withdraw money if the money is electronic and only exists on cards anyway? How would I access a bank account?

If you have a cash card, you can create a bank account at a ATM/bank machine. From then on, you can transfer money from your cash cards to your account and vice-versa. Money is almost utterly useless though: you can only use it to buy snacks and from a vending machine.

You can also buy ammo from vending machines inside a gunstore variant. I recommend keeping the money for that, as those vending machines are very hard to crack open.

You can also buy gas if you’re using the Automated Gas Stations mod!

So question… Any reason an NPC follower would turn on you suddenly and shoot you in the face? Because that happened to me.

2 questions:

-Can anyone direct me to a write-up on temperature? I understand the colours of the bodypart temperatures, but not the numeric values. Also I had every game until now temperatures from -10°C to 10°C for the whole time (admittably <30days), but in my new game (…where I found a katana in the secoond house I looted…) it suddenly is >35°C in spring and food went from absurdly overabundant to scarce)

-Can one turn off special attacks? It often is so that my rapid strike doesn’t deal any damage, while a normal hit does damage. It isn’t very useful if you only need half the time to deal no damage (I think that maybe: Damage from rapid strike < Enemy Armour < Damage from normal hit)

Speeaking of NPCs, how does one stop them stealing all your stuff?

Are there potential base locations they won’t visit?

When do they take items anyway? So far I haven’t noticed all my crap vanishing BUT when I dropped a crossbow (because a different NPC demanded that I do so) the other guy picked it up instantly despite being a fair distance away from me… wtf?

well they do seem to have a limited inventory space and if you fill thiers with junk items you dont want then they wont steal the good stuff

If you want to horde NPCs into a base just build a prison area for them and tell them to wait there. It’s genius!

Would a “box” made from garage door panels work too? I just discovered this exists in the current game version… Can NPCs open them with the switch?

Also can I build garage doors myself?

you can build iron doors but better make palisade with palisade gate around base and npc cant use switch or rope and puley systems
