Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

yes of course i would want to wear my backpack inside of my shirt… or plate armor

How’s fermenting in the recent versions? I found some sealed yeasts and I think it’s time I got my drinking spree going, gotta keep that morale up.
So is there a recipe learned with a certain cooking level or is it simpler than that? like farming?

Some are autolearned, but most come from the homebrewers bible.

Can anyone confirm if my plan to make a ninjitsu using cyborg ninja blackbelt with wolverine claws is feasible? I believe ninjitsu works with melee weapons…

Are the claws really viable for this or are they bad compared to a katana for example?

Unfortunately I made a mistake during character creation and discovered later that if you pick a black belt as profession that does NOT actually give you any martial arts. So now I’m hunting for them to learn and I don’t really know how to go about this.

Right now I’m using the art of the baseball bat.

Ooohh DG.

Anyway, I’m pretty sure ninjitsu works with claws and the monomuleculor blade. To get ninjitsu on char creation, it’s in the traits tab, in self defense training (if you would’ve read them…). You’ll be prompted to pick a melee style at the end of char creation.

Yeah I saw it under traits.

I just assumed the black belt profession came with a hidden trait for the training. It’s a bit expensive if it’s just skill points you get.

Anyway, I recall the wiki (or somewhere at least) saying you can get training in other martial arts somehow. How do you do that?

Also, I completely forgot the monomolecular blade existed… Hmm.

Now I’m curious. Can you install both that CBM and the claws CBM? And what happens if you activate both at once?

Hmmm another question, sorry:

So what’s the most efficient way of setting up a home generator? I used to build a wall outside my house, creating a new room connected only by a door/window. Then I would place a frame inside and link it to the outside “room” and fill that one with solar panels.

I hear though that the efficiency of solar panels isn’t the same as it used to be. and I heard about power converts or something, basically using a gasoline engine to power a car battery. Is this black magic mojo stuff real?

ATM every art under the Martial Arts Training trait can be spawned in a dojo. (Doesn’t mean will.) Boxing and Muay Thai can also spawn at boxing gyms. The rest don’t yet spawn. I’ve encouraged PRs to fix that but none have hit the hopper.

You can install both, but only one can be extended at a time as both use the weapon slot when active.

One thing i’ve always wondered about.

I know different tools are more or less efficient at butchering, IE the butcher knife is much better at it than a machete, for example. But does this actually affect butchering yields, or only the time taken to do it? Not sure if I should still be taking a butcher knife everywhere I go in case I run into a shocker or scientist.

Sweet, Thanks!
Searching the forums turned out nothing (or rather, too much)

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but how do you use the cash cards?

When I tried trading the cash card seemed to be worth 100 units of money but it should be thousands…

Also, how can I get other humans out of my shelter? Without murdering them, that is…

I don’t suppose you can lock doors?

well, i would say throw granades at their feet, trade them an active mininuke for something, or a c4. but i think a good way is to give them vision of some sort of monster and they will probably go after it

Ugh.

Do they invade you even if you’ve built your own house, or is it just emergency shelters?

Have you considered carpeting the base in traps?

Bring some zombie friends for them to come play with. Usually guts them fairly quick if you bring a smallish horde.

Unless they have a wakizashi.

That was a fun game for me.

Just realised you can make zombie slaves now. Pretty cool buuut what’s the point yo.

Sew a backpack into it.

Build shrine cities to the death gods?

Or you can use them as subpar shopping carts.
