Hmm…
I’ll have to look further into this…
Is there any particular reason my game has always been 30C+, even in winter?
Nuclear Winters are supposed to be cold

What version are you playing? IIRC weather/temp got a rather large overhaul just a few weeks back.
The experimental from a few days ago. The one from the week before that was a never ending ice age (never went over 10C), and apparently all my fires caused global warming.
How do i actually install the vehicle welding rig on my car? Does it need to be inside or outside or something? I’ve scanned over just about every square on the car and hit (i)nstall yet i don’t even see vehicle welding rig as an option to install. Playing the stable.
Once again i answered my own question, had to assemble a random frame on the outside of the car and then i was able to put the rig on it, if anyone else was wondering.
Cringes
Loljk you’ll learn with time, young Cata player.
Dang kids and their new updates n vehicles. Back in my day there were no vehicles and i spawned with a dog! -Shakes cane-
AFAIK that rig doesn’t have to be on outside. Just a square where is no other movement-blocking thing is installed.
Yah, if you put it on the outside there is a 100% chance the first z you see will tear it off. Back of a boxvan/ambo is a good place to have stuff like that.
I put my first welding rig on a wheelbarrow/shopping cart so I can move it around as needed. Outside to work on the vehicle, inside for some crafting, etc.
If I have a large vehicle than a second welding rig inside is a good idea. But I usually use a bike, easier to maneuver around all the cars littering the roads.

Very good idea, I saw somebody on youtube doing this.
Why waste wheelbarrows when there are food vendor cart’s now? This thingy is enough to put forge and welding rigs on, along with some solar power.
Whats the best experimental build right now? I’d pick the newest one but i don’t know which one has bugs and which one doesn’t.
As a general rule, latest is usually the way to go unless folks are clearly saying otherwise. Kevin just merged a pile of infrastructure, but it included a few minor fixes too.

Sounds good. Is it possible to migrate saves between versions? I’d had to start playing on an experimental just to have something awesome come out on the next build.
Generally, you should be fine moving saves into a newer experimental version, but item/building/etc additions will not take effect in already created worlds.
It’s probably best just to get used to starting a new world and character every time your download a new experimental. Trust me, you’ll get used to it.
A common thing I see is people upgrading to a new version whenever they die.

Or going out with the biggest possible bang when you want to upgrade (8 mini-nukes are good at that).

Problem with new game every timem a new experimental comes out is that there’ve been at least three new experimentals today: I merged two separate times and Kevin did a multi-merge, so keeping up with latest meant you’d not have much time. So unless we post about a nifty new building or new site-specific loot (something you’d want a new map for) you ought to be OK migrating your save forward.
