It may no work or cause the game to crash on startup, but you could try to open the options.txt file inside the config folder and edit/add the settings manually. They are:
TERMINAL_X desired width here
TERMINAL_Y desired height here

Mininukes wont spontaneously explode under conditions of extreme stress, mundane gasoline filled tanks will however.
When your gasoline tanks break completely and the vehicle is moving, a chance exists that you will blow up in a glorious fireball.
