What do i need to reinforce a weapon? Specifically a katana. I’ve tried using a solder and a welder on it but it says “that isn’t clothing!” . Can i even reinforce it?
i normaly use soldering iron to reinforce katana
Try using a basic repair kit. If that doesn’t work I have no clue. Make sure you have a piece of scrap metal to repair it also, and that the repair kit has duct tape in it; as it uses the duct tape as ‘ammo’.
Weapon condition/reinforcing is also only in the experimental versions… if you’re playing the stable 0.A, melee weapons are unbreakable and cannot be reinforced.
Also! Reinforcing melee weapons makes then better. I think it gives you a +2-5 in it’s stats.
It gives it a percentage increase of it’s current damage I think, for example a higher damaging weapon would get a higher bonus, whilst something like a hammer would only get like +2 or +1 damage. But I don’t know the coding and stuff so Flails arms around.
Ah ok i’m playing the stable so that would be why.
play experimental they have more features and gamebreaking bugs are rare and quickly fixed
Anyone with an inner hoarder shouldn’t use shopping carts. You’ll quickly find yourself with a cart so full of stuff and an inventory so badly keyed that it things get tedious.
Qft’d.

Any tip for powering a welder in a more efficient way? Just getting a car up and running from the road took up a huge chunk of my batteries, and I’d like to add a lot more onto it. Currently playing the stable.

Two panels will get you enough power to basically not care about 50 power every 20 minutes.
For my first car I just have a dump with all the batteries I can find. Burning 3000 on getting a vehicle up to scratch isnt crazy. Pull the batteries out of everything you can find and just have them dumped somewhere you mark on the map.
That’s what i do but i still find it to be a bit of a waste. I’m trying to learn the Welding Unit recipe from the book that has it (don’t feel like typing out the name), but it keeps saying i need higher and higher electronics to learn it. I have 8, do i need even higher? 9? 10?
No, nothing like that, it is probably fabrication you are short on, I think you need like 5? If you are running the latest experimental you can also craft stuff you dont know if you have the recipe book on you as long as you have the skills.
Rather than go welding rig, id recommend integrated toolset. If you have 8 elec, 6 computers is enough to reliably get through a lab as long as you have a decent gun for the turrets.
I don’t think it’s fabrication i’m short on because it’s an electronics book i need to learn the recipe from. And no playing on the experimental sadly, and no labs around. May go exploring though.
Just because it’s in a electronic book doesn’t mean it’s stricly a electronic recpie.
TrustmeaI’mafuckin’pro, not to diss Jim.
Yah, many of the high tier crafts need multiple skills.
Just checked and yup, its fabrication and electronics. Difficulty 4.
Id like to respect your proness ninja, but every char loadout you have shown has you wearing underpants. The apocalypse is not a time to be restricted.
learn how to make batteries and concetrated acid out of acid water and weak acid water
components for batteries are realy common
