You’re not wearing shoes, maybe that’s doing something to your speed? I dunno, that’s my best guess.
Yeah, no-shoes is usually worth +15 to move cost, which would counter Fleet-Footed.
(Ye of little faith.)

So does wearing socks prevent this or do you have to actually wear shoes? Not that there’s really a drawback to most shoes and boots.

Shoes or boots, yeah. The check’s is_wearing_shoes.
This is correct, when using “cruise control” (which is really just “maintaining speed while driving”), if your speed drops under a threshold, the engine will “thrust” to increase speed. If it’s not under the threshold it won’t thrust. Thrusting is where most fuel is consumed, and you can see when it happens with a gas engine because that’s when the puffs of smoke come out of the car. If you have an electric motor, each thrust will accelerate you more, so they happen less often, meaning your gas engine burns less fuel.
Thanks for your help (a few days ago) Back to the apocalypse, I have a new question: My axe has two damage-values, let’s say hitting and cutting. What does it mean? Do both values count, or is it a random thing if I hit or if I stab the enemy in the fight? And what does the hit-bonus mean exactly? Is it effective to neglect the damage, if it has a good hit-bonus?
Is there a thread who explains fighting? The ingame-help is not very detailled
Hello. I’ve just got back from quite a long break, and there would appear to be a lot of new content! Most of it I’m just going to work out myself, but I have one question. What are these hordes I keep hearing about, and are they in the current stable?

They aren’t on by default, you have to enable them at worldgend. If you still want a challenging game but hate playing with dynamic spawn this adds that challenge. They will wander around the map moving towards any big noises or anything which attracts their attention until destroyed.
On that note, can hordes be destroyed? If so, is it just a case of killing till they quit spawning, are numbers tied to city size, how do I go about killing one?
I think hordes draw from a pool. All you have to do is keep killing them all until the zombie pool is empty.

Scroll over using the numpad keys until the “crosshair” is located somewhere in the horde. You will notice that in the upper right-hand corner it will show how many monsters are in the horde, the horde’s current interest(aggro), and it’s current target’s coordinates. The target itself will be marked with a x. If that x is where you are, then you’re about to have some company.
Do rape & pulley systems work with stone walls & metal doors?
Uh oh.
Feeling a derail incoming.
Uh oh.
Feeling a derail incoming.[/quote]Why is that?
Rope and pulley not rape.
Rope and pillage system only work when contacting a palisade wall and then a palisade gate.
kk thanks.
