Do profession skill bonuses apply a flat increase to a skill or do you need to at least have a point in the skill to get the +1(2,3,4 etc)

Just picking the profession will give you the relevant ranks.

They smell your sweet sweet survivor flesh, thats what their after, not your footsteps, zombies can smell, and when in a building for too long your smell will leak through windows and doors

Sound generally travels as far as its rating. 2 ~ about 2 tiles away. If you’re visible, that’ll trump sound, and they’ll pick up on scent too but it might take a minute.

can i get a color guide for the radiation badge? i got the bad back mutation and immediately put that baby on and the color was green for a few steps, then it turned blue?

Looks like blue is minor radiation, should probably pop iodine. Above 30 rads, not at 60. item.h at 18-19.

Only two questions this time

I caught the flue, but hey, I have coughing-sirup. How often to take it? It doesn’t seem to help. I’m coughing like a champion…
I travelled around half the world with my nice pot to get to a river and take some water. How can I fill the water into the pot?

1: Well, if its the normal syrup, whenever you want to sleep.
Non-dowsy syrup, I dunno, every 2-3 hours?

2: IF pots now hold water, (e)xamine the water and it will give you an option to fill it. It will list all available containers. But I think that pots are just for boiling it…

How can i disarm a buried landmine? I see the mound of dirt, but i can’t disarm the mine.
I can dig a pit there, but still can’t see the mine. While walking over it is an effective way of disarming, not too realistic.

In the experimentals, I believe there was a PR to allow throwing objects at landmines to disarm them.

Merged, too. Heavy Stick FTW. (Disclaimer: heavy stick may not be heavy enough to trigger the landmine. A chunk of steel probably would be though.)
