On long trips in acid rain will really feel the rain.
Size more of less just happens, it’s really easy to add a few powered workstation, but storage that is why most of us have such massive vehicle’s, with your motor bike you have what 2K of storage?
Once you start useing your storage you find that you need more and more of it.

Massive fuel capacity is mostly hordeing/ keeping multiple large V8 running.

I’m dying.

I don’t know why. I’ve taken two doses of Royal Jelly, a few doses of fungicide, checked every status screen. I have Radiogenic, no artifacts, and definitely no Decaying. I haven’t been near radiation in a long time. No enemies are attacking me. My stats are lowered, but I don’t know why. My body parts are gradually losing health (slowly enough, since I have 25 Strength, but it’s trending downward). Why? Why is this happening?

I’m playing the latest stable build because of problems downloading the Experimental.

have you installed a bionic recently? i may have failed, if that’s not it may be because of mutating… so im not sure what’s causing it…

I’m mutating randomly… obviously I’m radiated somehow, and taking damage, but I have Radiogenic. The trait is broken, or I’m missing something.

edit: I’m now at 179 pain after about 10 minutes and am currently taking damage about as fast as I can use first aid kits (first aid skill 3, 57 first aid kits to begin with) The status screen still isn’t showing anything. I haven’t even been /near/ any radiated things. I mean, I took a trip into a sarcophagus, but it did no damage and was 6 days ago in-game.

edit 2: Managed to survive the acid rain filled night by hiding under a piece of wreckage, 182 pain was the maximum and I nearly lost my left leg. Down to 19 first aid kits and almost no food, but the pain’s stopping. Just waiting for the acid rain to clear and then I’m booking it back to my shopping cart. I should document this life in the Randomly-Generated Apocalypse thread.

edit 3: The pain came back in huge waves, then I got damaged, met an NPC, she attacked me, her head exploded and the game crashed. Back to the save immediately before the symptoms started. sigh

edit 4: Traversed a long way pushing my cart, Pain 211, holding my ultra-powerful revolver and shooting it at anything that moves. Speed 25. A lab in the distance, a place to pitch my tent. Sleeping makes the pain go away, but I’m not tired enough. Oh, and it’s -2 degrees Fahrenheit in the lab, so I’m wearing six or seven layers and a wolf suit to keep warm as I desperately try to sleep away the horrible radiation sickness. Regenerator is helping a lot with that. I don’t know how long this is going to last, but my food supplies are decent now.

Parasites? Have you eaten anything cookable w/o cooking it?

Not that I can recall. I’m a Carnivore, so most foods that I’d prefer are a no-no, and I got most of my water from a lab way further northeast. In terms of food, I eat stuff from MREs or junk food. Even past that, wouldn’t Royal Jelly and a Blood Filter help with parasites?

Either way, I’m guessing it’s an issue with Radiogenic.

Doesn’t radiogenic contaminate the area you’re standing on after a while? If you’ve been sheltering in a wreck in one spot, you may have contaminated it with high levels of radioactivity and are sitting there stewing in it.

That’s Radioactive, radiogenic absorbs your body’s radiation to heal yourself thus.

The pain has not stopped and I’ve been taking a dose of codeine every few hours. Actually not so bad with 80 doses of codeine and a revolver and copious amounts of food, so maybe I can head out of here. My dexterity actually had a boost at one point but that was short-lived. At least with 25 Strength I can hoist everything around.

Important note, but radiogenic will absorb radiation, but it doesn’t absorb it instantly. If you are in an area with a high enough base radiation it is fully possible to end up with more radiation going into your system then radiogenic can handle.

Affirmative. Though I’ve got to wonder where I got it all from… I passed over a few pieces of a crater, but only for a minute or two, and the effects were a day later. The sarcophagus had more radiation than that. Maybe that map event crater next to the FEMA camp that I thought might be an artifact? It’s possible that’s where I caught it…

Either way, by the end of the day I’m back to semi-OK condition.

Yeah, I’ve heard there are the tiny 7x7 craters that can appear anywhere, and that they cause MASSIVE amounts of radiation.

Well, overall it was a good thing. I lost lots of first aid kits, but (ironically) got Saprovore and Regenerator, so I’m now able to clear towns in a matter of hours, combined with 11 Unarmed and 11 Melee and Krav Maga.

I’m a little OP. Think I should move the PC into the experimentals for the horde mechanics I’m hearing about?

Ohh also those occasional half destroyed buildings are also HEAVILY irradiated, I wouldn’t put a foot in them if I were you.

Yeah, two iodine tablets before entering plz and even then you may be in the Danger Zone.
