Is there any trick to sleeping through the night as an asthmatic? I thought dependence on inhalers was going to be the primary problem, but it’s really screwing with my sleep.

What is the difference between mutagen and mutagenic serum? Is it worth it to make 1 serum rather than 2 mutagen?

Serums have 3x as much effect as oral mutagens, but cause pain/hunger.
I dislike them because you don’t have as much control - 3 mutation effects can mean a harmful mutation can crop up and progress without a chance to do anything about it.

Serums can also take you over the Threshold. I’ll likely be tweaking that somewhat once the new stable lands.

Euh nope. That is not what the threshold is. (there is a limit, but that is just because there are no more mutations that you can get).

Well, since the Thresholds do stop you from gaining mutations behind them, they kinda are a limit on how mutated you can be. But yeah, that’s not a good way to think of 'em.

Edit: does anyone actually know what jacking your eyes up with the hospital machine actually does? It seems to increase your visibility range, but only above ground, so that doesnt seem right

Just found out that fighting with horde of Z while standing behind a firewall,
is no longer a good idea after the early stage.

Because some Z carries ammo/explosives. BOOM!

P.S. I would like to get a save-file cleaner (clean up useless drops on ground) if there are any, so I don’t have to set things on fire every time…

Kids are so impatient these days. Loot the bodies and smash them. Not that hard. Takes time, but not the amount of time you need to restart after a lone zed was carrying ammo.

Mr. Stem Cell, the thing that injects your eyeball? That damages intact body parts and heals non-intact parts. So you might take 3-4 damage to head and torso, BUT your broken leg would gain HP and be able to heal as usual. If you’re pretty banged up all over (as in pink/red HP) or have a broken limb, it’s a good idea. Otherwise, clear out the area and return if needed.

Karate is a pretty good starter, Tae kwan do as well, blocks are good with some leg/arm armor and its hard to go past a quick attack. There are other workable ones and a few bad, but they are good basic ones.

The weird thing with karate is that more skill can actually be bad, since with skill 1 it’s all quick attack all the time, then as you get more Unarmed you start doing karate chops which take twice as long* and don’t do twice as much damage, and then you’re karate chopping all the time since you crit every attack.

Twice as long as a quick attack, same speed as a normal attack.

Huh. It’s a Computer skill check when you plant the thing (skill higher than 1d6), and it tells you when you plant it. If you disarmed and re-armed it, that’s another roll; did you change z-levels or leave the area (say, about 5 overmap squares away)? Wondering if it rerolled when leaving the reality bubble.
