Double mags + bolter = 16 bolts.

Epic.

Anyone mind letting me know how to get circuit boards? Someone asked earlier in this thread, but got no answer, and I want to be able to make my lightstrips.

You shouldnt need circuit boards for lightstrips unless they have changed it very recently. You should be able to make them by pulling apart a flashlight and still have some bits left over. (Experimental from about a week ago anyho). In my version you need a screwdriver, amplifier circuit, copper wire and some batteries.

TVs, laptops, microwaves and the like are usually good sources for some of the less common electrical gubbins.

I’m waiting to see if I can put a sniper conversion on it.

Battle rifle conversion worked but was pointless since you can’t burst fire.

Ah, you’re right. I hadn’t realized what I needed for lightstrips were amplifiers, and I was looking for circuit boards to make the amplifiers. I should’ve just asked where to get them. Thanks.

What’s the number that is to the right of the speed number?

And binoculars, is it the (m)ap visibility range they increase, rather than the distance around the player, as in e(x)amine visibility range?

When driving? That’s cruise control. It means that your vehicle will attempt to maintain that particular speed. I prefer to disable it myself.

Also, PRO-TIP

Reduce trunk clutter by unloading all the junk food, cola, red sauce, etc. that you pick up into gallon jugs or jerry-cans. It makes sifting through a cargo-space for parts of a recipe a breeze!

Dunno what people have been doing with those unlabeled numbers, but you’re right regarding binoculars. Eagle Eyed does the same and currently stacks. (I’m gonna nerf that when I get to Bird post-thresh.)

I don’t suppose binoculars stack with each other?

I suddenly found that I could see more of my map than I expected and it turned out I was carrying two pairs while driving around town…

Eagle eyed + binoculars = Quite large map seeing radius.

I don’t know if double binos work, though.

That’s a pretty good idea. My kitchen is usually a mess of empty containers.

I found a canteen and made a waterskin to handle my clean water, with a gallon jug for backup. I tend to go with 3L glass jars and gallon jugs for collecting “unclean” water. I’ve sacrificed quite a few plastic bottles for plastic chunks. That’s a good way to get rid of unused containers you can chop up or otherwise reuse.

So binos increase the map distance, not the distance you can see if you “move view” or “examine” and scroll around?

And the cryptic number I was curious about is the number that is, while walking, in the side bar, after all the stats and walking speed numbers. I wonder if maybe it’s to do with moved distance or something, it’s a larger number when I move diagonally (circular mode) than N S E or W.

I think that’s the speed cost of your last action.

It has something to do with your action points but there seems to be a bit of voodoo going on there, it doesnt seem that consistent when you are waiting or whatevs.

Binocs are 100% map veiw, they dont do anything outside the map.

Anyone know about allergies? I just updated to the latest experimental and have a ‘wheat allergy’ negative moodlet. I haven’t eaten any wheat in forever, since I’m a Carnivore who Hates Vegetables

I’ve been attempting a wilderness survival style with static spawn on but I’ve been running into a problem with wildlife just pouring into my base from all directions endlessly. I know ant-hills, swamps and so on will continue to spawn mobs but why do I always have dogs, wolfs, bears, zombears and such right outside (or pounding their way thru) my doors? I thought with static spawn whatever is gonna pop up will do it on world generation (excluding things like slime pits, swamps…)

Should I just focus on clearing out a small town if I want to enter and leave my base without murdering the entire animal kingdom?

Static spawn doesnt effect wildlife.

Do starting characters in latest experimental no longer receive matches and knife?

depends on the starting profession

Tip: If you have a jack/jasque hammer and one military ID card, you can get into those military bunkers easy!

Unless you are feeling lucky and don’t want to spend that card, dig into the bunker walls with the jackhammer.

Doing so is highly dangerous since if you do not use the ID card to unlock the bunker, turrets will be there and can headshot you from that distance.

But there are no turrets in the bunker itself if you can get in.
