I usually live in a residential area. I’m going to end up boarding up all the windows in my house, so it doesn’t bother me. I break all the windows in the surrounding houses. This nets me two fold. The furry lemmings will run onto the windows and die (yum!). Also, this will give me a lot of heavy sticks and sheets for raw materials. Finding a sewing kit, practicing until I have a decent skill, cut up some sheets, and make myself a pair of backpacks pretty easily.

with static spawn there is no point in boarding the windows, once cleaned, the area stays clean. And with dynamic spawn, i’d rather have more than 1 way to run if needed

‘stays cleared’ is relative. I’ve left a door opened and awakened to a spider munching on my face. zombies may not spawn but by damn the spiders do!

I don’t need anything specific, but I’m looking for good sources of various items. Like the ability to get steel plates from disassembling slides.

They changed that in the latest git version. Officially Steel Plate was a bug and it’s supposed to be Sheet Metal instead.
