Have you tried it?
The shovel in my shed will barely go through fresh roots never mind bone and gristle, and despite the edge its got, its not razor sharp. Try slicing your fresh meat with a dull butter knife and see how finicky it is.
Could you Butcher with a shovel? Yes you could.
But you’d be at it for a while… And probably half-ass it along the way.
At that point, I’d rather just take a rock and shatter the skull, limbs and chest until the bugger couldn’t prop itself up under its own weight.
