Mouse and information; Do i remember wrong?

Old player here. Used to enjoy the game so much, now returning. Used to play the game years ago.

My question is, if i remember correctly, hovering over items and stuff would usually show me some info on what’s in there, or just show some oinfo on entities if present. It would show the info on right? Can’t seem to do that anymore. Was it ever in the game, still in game and i need to turn it on or do i remember incorrectly?

Hover mouse works in windows tiled. Did?

I never use it. Used too left click and aim too. Mouse I think scrolls enemies via targeting. But I always move my mouse off screen.
