Sure the range isn’t that great, but it would sure work better in towns.

Obvious idea, more difficult to implement, I’m afraid. (Otherwise we’d have had it follow the RC car too!)

Slightly more specific, we can easily center the view on the rc car, but we can’t easily draw anything over 60 squares away from the player.
Not saying it won’t happen, it’s just a lot of work.

Well, considering the remote doesn’t have much range, I think just centering it would be fine.

My thoughts exactly. Also, you are not supposed to know what the car sees, unless it’s got a camera of some kind?

Yea, it’d just move the center of the screen around unless you had a camera and screen, if you did we could have it reveal FoV around corners for scouting.
If that’s all you need it’s quite doable.
