If you’re having this problem, grab a recent experimental, go into the player save file, and change the version from 5 to 4, then try and load it.
I’d like to do a 9.1, mostly based on this issue, but I’m not sure when I’ll have time.

I am having this same runtime error. I am using the .9 stable. I did not transfer the save from .8. I tried changing the version number in the sav file from # version 11 to # version 4 and it didn’t help. I really don’t want to lose my 49 day old character.
EDIT: I dont see why that would help anyway since it states that if a # is in front of the line then it is considered a comment.
EDIT #2: I tried creating a new character in the same world and the same issue occurred.
Which one is the save file? I’ve been transferring the entire save folder.
Just tried dragging the folder and converting it with the latest experimental build, the conversion worked!
lol, the conversion changed a bear trap I had set outside my window into a fur rollmat.
