Is our average @ a psychopath, that he is not afraid? I mean zombies, triffids, fungals, netherworld inhabitants are running around. Our average @ should be afraid, not?
Including fear in the game could change the gameplay, prolong the early game and the middle game.
Seeing zombies would reduce your morale. Specials or more dangerous variant would have higher fear factor.
Too much exposure to thrilling situations could lead to insanity etc.

What are your opinions on this?

That’s not to say it’s a bad idea, but it depends on how it’s implemented.
