Draw Your Cataclysms

I died in the most stupid manner today after making it to day 2 for the first time in months, but it was amusing enough that I decided to doodle it out:

Turns out, throwing an empty matchbook and then standing on it next to an uncontained fire is not the wisest of ideas I’ve had. And to think my poppy cooking would have been successful had I decided to actually throw the empty matchbook away from the thing I’m trying to light!

Ah well, I’m starting to get a better idea of how to survive day 1, maybe I’ll get another chance to not screw up!

Died brewing up some methacola that way once… Except I had made a web and it spread to the web and despite having a Thermal Dissipation CBM going I died of Dehydration from overheating. XD

So for the first time today I’ve been able to survive past day 2. I /nearly/ died on the evening of Day 3, when I had a rude visitor arrive while I was fixing up some bone broth for myself…

I just watched MLP 4th season opening episodes and quite too happy to draw such a grim and noice things about the suffering and pain.

Day 5 and I have learned how to tailor my clothing, to the point of being able to repair and reinforce almost everything I’m wearing! (My pouch got knocked out of reinforced status by a zombie kid and I haven’t found any spare leather to reinforce it with yet, but still).

To celebrate this minor victory, I decided to doodle my mothman survivor self wearing his current outfit, as I interpret it:

Yay, thank you! Yeah, he’s a mothman. No specific breed of moth though (He might be a genetically-mothified person, for all we know), he’s just one of those adorable fuzzy moths I’ve been seeing so much on the internet recently.

So I got bored today, and rather than work on code or draw I decided to draw up the Ryndren Mobile Command Center in Google Sketchup. For those of you who don’t know I build a goddamn MASSIVE vehicle in Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead. It was so big it slowed the game to a crawl. In game it was almost 3 map tiles long (30+ local tiles, think of it as being three minecraft chunks long.)

Rendered it’s 38 Feet wide and just shy of 200 feet long.

You’ll note there are a few things in the RMCC that aren’t available in game, I figured why the hell not. I don’t like the materials Google Sketchup had to offer for the image, but they work enough to get the point across.

Because if you’re going to survive, what’s the point in sitting in the back of a burned out car when you can try and cram all the comforts of a two story home in what can loosely be called a vehicle?

I basically used any “trunk” area for storage mostly but also ‘furniture’ and had to do a lot of guess work on the kitchen units, welding rig, and electric forge, but dear god the foodco kitchen buddy was the worst.
