Just use the vampire mod
I do, I just usually assume people don’t have the mods I have and as such have laid out a template for a player to use if they wanted to roleplay as a vampire in the base game.

Here’s my latest character Nat. Military brat, tinkerer and loudmouth, not necessarily in that order. She has a reckless, haphazard approach to living in the wasteland that has been working shockingly well for her. Eager to dabble in both mutations and bionics, though the a bit more carefully with the former (only thing she has going on right now is cat eyes)…

A snotty old man with a huge temper and disdain for the whole “I don’t have any running water or electricity thing” and a forlorn murderhobo with a titanium chin. McKay is generally the ‘hard mode’ of my playthroughs (No survival skills, bad tempered, and a slow learner) whereas Reiss is the character I play vanilla (Deathmobiles and knife spears included).
It should be noted that I based Reiss’ clothing off of Kyle Reese from Terminator 1, full disclosure.

NPC companion that spawned in a shelter with me. This guy has 16 in dexterity, meaning he’ll always get a hit in and never get hit, hence pipe spear. Now in color!
