Do people play with or without static and/or random NPCs?

Bloody hell! O__O i think that i couldn’t survive in your world,it’s really hard xD

Mostly i turn them off. The game is relaxing without sudden (means npc) challenge. Sometimes i turn them on, but hostile npcs can be a pain, because they have a lot of hp and if they have a better gun… Some of them has a flamethower and set everything on fire. Also allied npcs are stupid, accidently shot each other or me.

There should e a way to poder their hp. You need a lot of bullets to take them down and it’s not fair.

Yeah, I know, but sometimes it is really unrealistic. You need a lot of bullets to kill them!

I let myself be arrested once as well, for exactly the same reason  Wound up just sitting around waiting for something to happen, then I think the cop bots started shooting one another and/or some NPC’s in the vicinity.

As a side note:

If you’re dressed as a Cop, the Eyebots won’t call in the robots, despite the alarm you just set off crowbaring into that building over there… I don’t know if it’s the badge or the shirt that makes them leave you alone though.

Hmm. Were you really a Cop, or just dressed as one?

Really a Cop, though I assumed it was the outfit.

I suppose there could be an Officer database that they pulled info from for Officer insert-name-here. That’s definately alluded to in the message given

Wait, that’s a feature? Cops, or people dressed as cops, are above the law even if they’ve been detected breaking and entering?

The future New England is more corrupt than I thought.

Nope, they have not been detected breaking and entering gaining access to the location. The alarm went off, an eyebot has responded, and found that there’s a human officer already on the scene. It happens from time to time, so no point in punishing diligent police work.

If Internal Affairs noticed that a particular officer was so dedicated as to beat the eyebot on a regular basis, though, there might be a problem. More so if folks manage to film the officer actually doing the vandalism. Unfortunately there aren’t civilians with cell-phone cameras handy to watch the watchers.

So will the cop bots and/or riot control bots help defend the player cop or do they not even appear?

EDIT: Also, if this works for cops, why not have the same thing work with military personel? Tankbots, chickenwalkers, etc. would be friendly to players with such professions as National Guard, Special Operator, etc.

And have these professions cost MANY more points than they already do.

No, if a cop strays and the eyebot doesn’t recognize xem, the enforcement arm is likely to dispense justice to the cop, just as they did to the operators. Eyebots are not designed to employ force and were therefore not included in the Botched Reprogramming.

Same problem for military personnel, and since they’re not specifically carrying personal identifiers like police do (or at least you aren’t…yet…maybe you might be able to link up and get one at some point?) the bots don’t have anything to tell them you’re friendly.

just started with regular scenario 0.1 item spawn 2.5 enemy spawn and both static and random npcs on… day one an npc dies due to stupidity … drops pneumatik bolt driver… too easy… i ll restart this time without random npcs. They just carry too much good stuff for this setting for me.
