So I tend to accumulate tons of cans. Why can’t they be made into scrap metal?
That sound like a good idea to anyone else?
I’m behind you on this one. Makes sense, except maybe the scrap metal is suppose to be steel and the cans are tin. Maybe it works the same but is less durable.
I may just throw this into my upcoming metalworking PR if you don’t mind.
It is possible to recycle (aluminium) cans in the steel compactor behind a hardware store. You have to mod them to have a nonzero weight to get actually something out of them though.
edit: actually aluminium cans have weight, so it is already possible to recycle them into scrap metal. You probably need a lot of them though.
