Best method to find out reason for a commit

What’s the best source/method to find out the reason for a commit?

Not as an issue to it but an interest in it.

Ex. A commit was put in to remove the control laptop from base json and put into the Aftershock mod.

Asking on github or on here or discord or all of the above?

Go on github and read the pull request

How did I miss that… I must admit my navigating through github tends to lead me down a rabbit hole. I was using the launcher which sends me to Jenkins and clicking on commit thread.

Thanks!
