What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I found one on a dead zombie, but I think you could probably get one in a vet clinic. BTW, the creature has to be friendly for you to stuff them in a pet carrier.

So I did end up finding a marloss man, but instead of fighting it I spawned in an NPC. I befriended the NPC and gave him Mycus mutations. His name is Wesley and I’m going to make him a boss.

I need a place to hole up in for a while while I make turrets for the Solar Roller, so what structure do you guys think I should infest?

Hazardous waste Sarcophagus. Or if you want to be practical, Public works, nice surrounding fence/buildings for walling off while being built.

Well, that depend on your needs. This is certainly not for food, because you are marlossvore.
So there is only parts and safety left. So Large power station would be perfect. They are mostly isolated and have almost every components you need. Bunch of metal and electronic parts. I created my manhack squad in one of those.

UPD.
MMR, stop recruiting my NPC factions into your army

I don’t think those NPC faction goals have anything to do with anything. Most of them make no sense.

I was forced to hole up in a motel because zombies ate the Solar Roller and also Wesley. After I repaired the Solar Roller I made a slingshot cannon and 20 modified mininukes. I stuck the cannon on the front of the Solar Roller - it is for clearing out obstacles/zombies. Now I’m crafting more rails for my railguns, which I have all the ingredients for. I’ve turned about half a hippie van into rails so far.

After this I think I’ll head out again and go to a nearby lab, then to a public works where I can make some turbolasers. I just need some lenses first.

I rushed towards my trial hell spire, trying to make it down to the 3rd level I recent completed.

I kited away a hell barron, and then used my knowledge of how ‘gun’ attacks work to bait him into wasting his time so I could run up into hom with a shotgun. He took 50 damage per 00 shot, and had some health to spare. An acid bomb later and I had beaten a baron of hell with nothing more than a smashback. admittedly a harder one than what brutes do becaue they do more physical damage so you also go farther with more velocity and take more damage, but enh.

I successfully debugged in a glock and shot a group of lost souls, though one got me with their flame tounges. A mancubus was wandering my way, and I successfully kitted him by staying oustide his range. I hopped over a fence to a power substation and ran ‘up’ the length of the fence to attact Zmen. Well, on my way back, a shocker brute followed me, and when I was dealing with a black imp the brute did me a solid by knocking me out of their fight - - - right into a revenant, who grappled me into itself and punched off my face.

So. Yea. Theyre certainly harder than any other faction. And these are only the basic infantry.

There is quite a bit of swearing in my apocalypse. Our intrepid survivor was doing well when the game crashed and I discovered that somewhere along the line autosave had been turned off. Setting have been corrected now.

Tis a shame. He was doing so well, for me atleast.
?? dont think they can, if you pulp em up.

A quick test is in order

pedit: . . . nope. Hes ignoring the corpse.

My theory is that the pulped corpse is missing the specfic id of ‘corpse’. Ill be making an archvile eventually, so Im sure Ill learn all about reviving.
Well, that’s a nice change then. I tried it a few months ago, and necros could DEFINITELY res pulped zombies then. That should make things so much easier.

I am most vulnerable to skeletal dogs. Thanks to my Nethack days I just can’t bring myself to displace a white lowercase ‘d’ and as a result they always get in a few bites before I remember what I’m playing.

whats a white d in nethack?

Friendly dog.

is just noticed lab near slime pit, decided to take a free tour on lab and what i seen is awesome, lab is mixed with slime pit but slime pit do not replace lab, it looks realy nice

This is due to how the game spawns populations of monsters. The blobs have a small-but-real area they can spawn around their pit, while the lab monster have no such radius. Similar to how ants can infest a lab if their hive is close to it.
My plant mutant doesn’t really seem to care about the fact that he’s using a flaming sword which is weird.

On another note, is fencing supposed to be this good? I can jump into the middle of a million enemies and kill every single one with a stop thrust that triggers when they attack me. I did this in an ant hill, and my game stopped responding for a few moments before the game caught up with a million numbers flying all over the place and about 16 ant corpses around me.
As opposed to flesh mutant using a fire sword? If anything, being covered in a thick coat of bark and staying hydrated would logically make you even more fire resistant than normal stuff of flesh.

Has anyone else named their character “Sir” or “Lord”/“Baron” ___ ___ and then taken up the noble cause of killing every xeno you possibly can

Considering restarting with some new settings. I have always played with static spawn on, never without. Considering starting a game with wander spawn on instead? I really dislike it because it ruins my immersion a little bit; I’ve killed hundreds of zombies in this small town and it isn’t cleared yet?

I don’t know boys

I know that feeling.

Im feeling pretty apathetic to this character, because all he has is 10 minutes of peace at a time. For not discernable reason.

Ive beaten 600 zombies back and gotten nothing but pain and the edge of death. They still spawn in so frequently I’m not actually sure if Im making progress in cleaning the fornt lawnway, let alone the rest. Theyve darn near destroyed the barn, and the hayloft too Id wager. Theyve, in my abscence, spawned into and smashed around the house, and I never liked the design of the farmhouses for a base. The location is totes what Id want though, being out there surrounded by lakeriver, with an island nearby even. Theres a bridges that provides access to the other half of the world I know about, and if it wasnt for the 2000 zombies that literally follow me everywhere Id be okay. But just getting around takes such a toll on the vehicle; theres only so many bodies it can go through before it has to build up momentum again, and they thrash it and encircle it they can get so deep.

I want the game not to be a dick and spawn in 30+ zombies at a time, and while Id also like them not to pop out of the water to say hi at least I expect that, and could work with it if I felt safe or permanent enough to start unpacking and planning.

Ive regotten the darn fungaloid disease, and I didnt bring the cide with me. I cant go back; thats how we lost most of the cars hull strength to begin with. I need antiparasite drugs; until then Im losing food and strength and sleep-healing. My medical supplies are faltering, my food is down to MRE reserves, but at least I have a parasite already so I can drink freely from the farm pump.

one thing I was never clear about - Does where you jar the water also afect your chance of poisoning as if you drank from the source?

-sigh- I dont recall being infected with fungi in recent games, so Im not sure what to expect, but its speed loss alone is annoying enough to want to lose. The parasite is being a parasite, and I cant trust sleeping anywhere that isnt a field in my car because zombie hordes are literally everywhere.

Just look at the mess now :expressionless: In my home.

He died giving birth to spore babies in his car speeding along at 80kmh. The car meandered into a crater. All the local zombies, all damn 80 of them, decided theyd better get their fungal fill while it was still warm.

1660 kills in 19 days.

Its gotten better.

I assume hordes were on. Were you making more noise than you should? Is there some mistake being made that just made it SO impossible to keep going? Other than MAYBE setting the settings to high? Even if it is the case probably can’t place FULL blame on that characters lack of survival on that.

So as someone looking to tailor the my own games character experiences to be the perfect balance of challenging, what went right/wrong with pisskop’s run?

I remember hordes used to follow behind the noise cars made even if you were in a deep forest.

That was early Experimentals at work. 2k kills in 19 days. With a character that wasnt built for combat and wasnt looking for it. Im sure if you find whtever version was most recent back when I posted that you could repeat it.

Ive done better afa kills per day, but Ive also been trying with those. 2300 irridated wanderers in like 3-4 days with a lizardman spearer in a vault with hordes on.
