I found the game through Bay 12 forums. The other games forum is one of my favorites. I think most people found this game this way. I think people who like Adom would like this game due to the death and the difficulty level. What about people who play Rogue Survivor, Project Zomboid, and Don’t Starve (This is a fun game).
Anyone have any ideas on how to increase it? More people could get us more more coders. I am a DBA by trade, so I am pretty useless at C and would just get in the way.
One thing might be to stop calling it a .4 pre-release. This game has an awful lot more do then most games at levels that low. When I see a pre-release at that level, I am thinking there is virtually nothing to do with it and move on to other games. The game is pretty stable. Might want to call it version 1.4… little marketing never hurt.
I’d dissient against the “bigger community = terrible game”, as the Bay12er community is rather large and DF is okay. However, I would agree that Cataclysm needs some work before we can call it 1.4. NPCs, for example, are meant to be an intergral part of the game and at this point they’re off by default.

I swear to god I- OMG THAT REAL TIME STRATEGY THAT ADVERTISED PORN AND SHIT AND THEN SOMEONE MADE A VAMPIRE VERSION AND THERE ARE COMMERICALS?
It’s also (as you may guess) incredibly scammy. It has spyware installed in it’s client which actively observes you as you use it. Including if you’re typing personal information in a browser window.
