Hi, i have a couple of question to ask the community:
- What is the best plating as of 0.5 and 0.7.1, respectively?
- How to stop animals(eg, fucking B(ears)) from entering one’s car?
- Does disabling NPCs stop the game from crashing?(if not really, please give a percentage of sorts)
I’m a noob at the game, but i have been playing the game for quite some time, if anyone asks.
Yo Hax. You should have more knowledge on the NPC issue if you’ve been playing as of 0.5, but I’d say yes. Frankly I’ve not had that many crashes with or without static NPCs (though they hardly make a difference to gameplay anyway, and I don’t play with roaming NPCs yet) and those that I’ve had crash were generally the older experimental builds although in the recent version (7.1-560) I’ve even had some problems with static NPCs. Looked like the guy spawned with damn near every item in the game, saw a deer and tried alternative attack a few hundred times. Thankfully his head asplode. (whoever put that little piece of code in… +1.)
As for the vehicle plating… Personally my favorite is spiked plating for the extra damage, although for that it sacrifices some durability. Then again, as long as you’re not plowing through buildings it’s good for long while. Can’t remember if the one with the most durability was hard or superalloy though.
Anyway: Question: How much explosives does it take to go through a metal door or a standard (aka not metal) wall? tried using 2 pipebombs one after another on a police armory and it was no use, so would I need to detonate several together as one, or are pipebombs simply not sufficient anyway? I’ve found some C4 but I really want to save that for something special. (there’s a bunker nearby that I’d really prefer breaking open.)
If I use say, a huge amount of pipebombs one after another would that still do the trick?
