In 0.5, drinking a small amount and becoming tipsy does not give +1 strength.
Getting drunk and then waiting until you sober up to tipsy, however, does give +1 strength.
Sounds like a bug to me.

Yes it does seem like a bug, I haven’t played too much 0.5, 0.4 has my best character yet.

I can confirm that drinking a beer with Lightweight does get you tipsy and +1 strength

Uh, are bicycle wheels measured in radius? 12" seems to be the largest wheel I’ve found…which is kinda small…about 50% in fact.

Probably, otherwise semi’s are running around on bike wheels. 12" wheels IRL would be useless for anything that isn’t a kid’s tricycle, but a 12" radius (or 24" diameter) wheel seems the norm for a bike.

I am surprised no one says o start with archery. You can then throw rocks t bunnies and butcher copses for level 1 survival. Smash 2 windows for string. 1 heavy stick in woods and you have a longbow.

Back toshelter smash bench and craft arrows. You can easily get to 4 archery from 2 just making arrows. Silent weapon that takes downeverything short of a hulk. Unlimited craftable ammo

Turn off training throw amd then off. Survival after our bow so you dont waste exp.

With fast learning you just need 20 rabbits for level 1 survival.

I’ve considered it before but the main thing that I run into is that while you can always increase your skills after starting, it’s extremely difficult to increase your base stats. Thus I find it almost always worth it to simply put 1 more point into a stat then to spend it on a skill you could learn in other ways.

If you’ve already got enough stats though, then sure, go for it!

What are the conditions for Pallisade/Log Walls? I have all the materials needed, my construction skill is 6 and I’m surrounded by diggable dirt. The option to build them is white but it doesn’t give me any valid construction tiles. On 0.5.

You have to dig deep pits first. Future versions will have that combined with the recipe.

For many smaller changes, yes, but it’s always a bit of a crapshoot. I highly suggest that you save a backup of any saves that you plan on transferring over in case it is broken.

Open the player status screen, hit TAB until you have the skills list selected, use up/down to choose your desired skill and then hit spacebar. If you do it right the skill should change color and stop soaking up xp.

Is there any way to to take gas out of vehicles? I want to cypher it into a container so I can fuel my ride (it just ran out of gas, there are some cars around with gas in them).

If you are playing with the nightly build or the dev version then yes, you should be able to siphon gas out of gas tanks with a rubber hose. If you aren’t playing one of those version then you are out of luck though.
