Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

Yep

Hmm. I wonder if the vault can be reclaimed as a suitable Dwarf Survivor Fortress.

This is awesome, is it more of an end game location?

Only if you don’t mind puking your own stomach thanks to radiation.

Place is rather dangerous, but not exactly late game.

The better to be king of the dorfs, moar mutations. owo

What about nomex? o3o[/quote]

Isn’t this a bit racist? Poor Mexicans :/.

Anyways, I recently made my way back into the game and I can’t find DIESEL anywhere … Am I blind or just to stupid?

You can get diesel from green pumps at the gas stations or siphoned from a car that uses diesel.

Oh, now I need to find green gas pumps. Thanks, never had one until now, I think. Thank you.

Okay, so, when installing bionics is a failure, one of the failure effects is that your body gets damaged. So… that means it’s just actual damage to body parts, right? Will the hidden health stat be affected as well?

What does car ram do ? and what does the armor on a car blocks ?

I must have raided over half a dozen gunsmith shops (the ones with the workshop) and I’m yet to find a single gunsmith repair kit. I used to get several per shop on my last character. Has something changed?

Your luck.

Rams, spikes, roller drums etc basically have a high damage stat. They hurt more if they’re the part that runs into an enemy, essentially. Meanwhile armor soaks up hits for other parts on that section of vehicle. Not sure if it’s a random chance of taking a hit that would otherwise damage a specific part, or if it just ups the damage resistance of all parts on the tile. Either way it means less falling apart.

Best odds of finding one are to hope for the type of gunstore that has a small back room where they keep gunsmithing supplies and tools, whereas most stores are just a front section and a gun range. The amount of shelves that can spawn repair kits in the front area is rather small, if I recall.

EDIT: And now a question of my own. Where can I expect to find enhanced electric motors? ;A;

From electric sports cars.

Ooh, that’s gonna be hard to find. owo

Also, stupid question. Alternators can charge up pedal-powered, gasoline, diesel, and other such vehicles…but can I slap one on an electric vehicle? owo Nevermind, seems you can’t install an alternator on an electric engine to begin with.

It would have helped with longevity.

If you could even install it though. >w>

Random thing. When looking in your signature area I just thought about making a mod for a survivor version of just about everything. Survivor pickaxe.

That would be funny. We need more loincloth varieties. o3o

And yeah, even tested it with just a frame and engine on another vehicle, just in case it was merely too many parts on that tile of the solar-powered Road Roller.

I was thinking more of an armored fedora.
