Well when i start fighting a walker i die. I either snipe it from a far or from the cover of the dark(or hack that way :3). never tried with powerarmor… i hate pa.
SO do I mean seriously why can’t I wear a trench coat or a backpack with power armor on. Now I can imagine things like skintight clothing being unwearable but still.
What does the I/E column in the autopickup configuration dialog refer to?
And in highly belated response, yeah I kinda figured tankbot pseudo-item couldn’t be obtained that way. Would be Fun if it could though. owo
So the other day I found an artifact in an anomaly with 4 charges of firestorm+storm with the 1 minute recharge time. My question is how does the fire resistance of the firefighter gear work including does the fire burn it and does fire burn non-firefighter clothing that is under said clothing. Is it protective only up to say raging fires?
Once I get the rElec bionic I can see this being a potent weapon both for creating burn patches and for salvaging fuckups with repeated activation to essentially create a burning house around me. I’d like to know beforehand as I’m quite attached to this survivor and have a lot of time invested in it.
Fire resistance for worn items seems to be totally unimplemented, meaning you might as well be naked.

I can’t answer your firefighter gear question, but I can point out that there’s a bionic that takes care of fire the way that dielectric CBM takes care of electrical problems - Thermal Dissipation. Have both of those (and some bionic power), and that artifact should make most of your other problems disappear pretty quickly.

Fire stuff is only fireproof and nothing else if you find turncoat and other what not to me if nothing more protective is available I would wear it but if there is then I would just disassemble them for the kevlar. The point being fireproof stuff does not protect you from fire, just itself.

Real men get all the upgrades they need from mutations instead of bionics, though.
Now if only there was a fireproofing mutation…

All we can do instead is make ourselves more flammable with fur.
Or a few silly ectothermic-style mutations. ;A;
Sorry I’m actually unfamiliar with the term ectothermic.
There is, but you have to be a shroom to get it.

In contrast to endothermic, basically more temperature sensitive. Cold-blooded, basically.
I never used thermal dissipation before. So it protects your stuff from burning too? Cause if so I think it’s time for some lab raiding so I can be a flaming wrecking ball
Atm it protects your clothes, but your character will still get hot on the inside though. Beware, flamethrower attacks from tankbots can still roast you even if you have thermal dissipation turned on!
Where do raging fires fit on the temp scale? Cause I’m getting the feeling it wont work then. I got broiled when I ID’d it and didn’t have an extinguisher to get out from 3 middle fires nearby
For some reason, I can’t get a thermometer to tell me how hot a raging fire is, but according to my character it raises your body heat to like 300-400… however hot that is. Even with thermal dissipation lengthy exposure to raging fires will result in a slow-cooked survivor sausage.
Emphasis on slow-cooked though, last I checked. So long as you don’t stand IN the fire itself. Convection can suck it.
Anyone willing to point out if ready to harvest crops will rot while in the plant? Because I dont really want to throw all this potatoes to the trash.
I dont even know why I bothered… I knew I wasn’t going to eat em.
