Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!
Have you tried on different tiles of the vehicle? Especially ones without solar panels or floodlights.
I just tried it in debug mode on a spawned vehicle and it worked just fine.
Can you describe how/where you installed one? I’ve tried it on everything from bare frames to roofs, with and without turret chassis installed. Ah, also I’m on the latest version with all the blob stuff so maybe it’s a new bug.

Apparently it has a NEEDS_BATTERY_MOUNT tag now.
This means you need a turret mount point for it. While a battery mount will work, blaze did override it in the mod so that it will dismount on move (that’s an ugly hack, considering that electric cars still use it).

If you mean the “turret chassis” part you install from the vehicle menu, I’ve tried everywhere with and without those. If you mean something else then I have no idea what. I’m using the version downloaded from the thread for the mod, and playing the latest experimental. Note that the scorcher turret does work.

Oh wow. This is a cool mod but what’s going on with storage battery cases is unacceptable. They’re 0 durability, dismount on move, require 50 skill to install, all because… what? They’re worried someone might cheese and use them as turret mounts?

Been looking at the jsons and I really can NOT figure out why the flamecaster/scorcher works but the dragon doesn’t.

My bicycle doesn’t work. Can anyone help me to look at it?
[foldable light frame]

  • foldable seat
  • control
  • foot pedals
  • 6" casters
    [foldable light frame]
  • 6" casters

Safe/Top speed: 0/77 km/h
Acceleration: 0 km/h/t
Wheels: enough

Probably the fact that casters are kinda derptastic. Tried seeing if it’ll run at all, or just looked at the stats? I’ve seen a few vehicles generated in a state that claims 0 acceleration only to find them running fine.

You can’t have powered casters in real life, are you sure that this doesn’t continue into Cataclysm?

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone was crazy enough to try and make a pedal-powered shopping cart though. >w>

That is almost as insane as a pedal-powered one would be.

So, I found a book that gave me a new style… one that doesn’t seem to be in the wiki, Niten Ichi-Ryu. I have a katana, which is on the short list of weapons it works with… but I also started with Ninjitsu, which seems to be easily the best of the styles in the wiki if you want to use a weapon. What can you tell me about this style?

Almost certainly not as good as a style that’d allow Fist of the North Star antics, sadly. owo

I have a question about drugs. If there is a low-grade meth present, so that means that somewhere could be a high-grade one? Never found last one, so I’m curious.

i have problem, i used 3 adrenalines to bost my inteligence to install cbms but before it i had 40% fail now its 70%, something changed? good that reading is still unaffected

How do blobs generate? There’s no nearby slime pit, but blobs just seem to keep showing up daily. It’s only one or two small blobs popping outside my base daily for most part, but I’m baffled as to why they’re showing up. Is it due to the blob globs I keep in storage outside my base? Or is it due to my wall of zombie slaves?

I really want to know the answer to this too! Blobs seem to coming from nowhere sometimes, it seems. I’ve seen blobs “split” and leave behind blob globs though… maybe the blob globs eventually reanimate???

Maximum duncity.

They split over time, and can also propagate while you sleep. Run away to keep them out of your reality bubble overnight, or you’ll wake up with them just oozing all over the place. And not the fun kinda oozing either. owo

Blob globs SEEM to be harmless, and in fact a useful source of superglue. Who needs horses?

So, basically, as long as one blob remains around my reality bubble, they’ll keep spawning?

Yep. Purge the adorable little monsters.

That is basically why one of my homebrew unreleased mods was one that blacklists fungal and blob monsters.

Gonna be a bit troubling, but I might as well fix it with the only way I know how. Gonna burn the buildings around my base, so I can get a clear view of the surroundings and purge them blobs out of my little spot of paradise.
