It’s an artifact. They come with randomly generated powers, so the only way to figure out what it does is to use it. Congratulations.

It makes a rattling sound and i keep getting attacked by shadow snakes

Artifacts typically have a passive affect and an activated effect. If the snakes appear without you activating it (and the Rattling Crescent is in your inventory), then that’s a passive affect and your artifact is kind of useless then.

If the snakes only appear when you activate it, then your artifact may have a helpful passive effect.

Artifacts can have really harmful passive effects but still be worth it.

I once got an artifact that got acid spit active (with hp rot to reload), but radiation passive. I hauled it around by dropping it every few steps, looking around, then going back to pick it up. It was slow, but guaranteed a way to defend myself from tough stuff (at 8 dex and no skill everything is dangerous).

If it’s not made of glass, you can throw it so that you hold it for as little time as possible.

Fully useless artifacts can exist, though. If you can’t figure out a reason to keep it, leave it be.

one time i got artifact what spawned big flies on active and iradiated me on passiwe, good source of meat

One of the more useless artifacts in my current collection is a sword that heals you, then immediately drains health to recharge. I’m tempted to say that most artifacts you encounter are pretty useless. Pretty neat though.

I’ve tried, but does anyone know a way to easily fill the 30gallon water drums in your vehicle?

I’ve got 15 installed… I’m sitting next to a pool. I want to use the water gun I found (I think removed from the fire truck) to have some fun… Having to fill a another container to them fill each and every single tank is stupid.

There should be an option to siphon from the pool.

Syphoning directly from the pool would be cool .

Yet its not that hard to fill them up.
take a 30 gallon drum and fill it with water

then fill your vehicle with that 15 times.

I don t see why you would need 15 of them on your vehicle … its not like you ll have to cross a vast desert.

Did you miss that I mounted a “water gun” on the vehicle?

I can only guess how much water it might need as i never installed something like that.

For some reason I briefly assumed you meant a squirtgun. >.o

Also, has anyone tested whether slapping an alternator on a pedal-powered vehicle works for charging an installed battery? I keep meaning to test that someday.

It does, but it will drain your “biological resources” quite fast. And you can’t read while doing it, only craft.

Which is sorta funny, because reading while exercising is considerably easier than exercising while repairing electronics…

Is there a place where I can see the exact changes made and things added in each experimental build?

And if I can ask, why did they change the encumbrance system? I sort of get it, things that used to have 1 encumbrance now have 10, which allows for items with 5 encumbrance. I assume that’s so I can wear only so many 5 encumbrance items before they have an effect?

Hmm. I wonder if one can rig up a pedal-powered dynamo with solar panels too. Would that alleviate the stamina effects?

That only produces more energy. What has that to do with how fast you tire? You need less time to charge the batery therefor you use up less “hunger” … thats however a redundant train of thought. So what do you mean?

True, the only good the solar panels would do is reduce the amount of time spent pedaling around solely for the sake of charging the battery. ._.

I’ve been looking for any sort of Power Armor Helmet. I’ve got about 3 heavy, 3 basic, and 2 light armor suits and 2 power armor hauling frames snagged in my search.

I’ve looked at banks, some labs, wreckage around, the FEMA camps… Military bunkers really only has nothing but ammo, explosives, and explosive ammo. I visited a few military outposts, but they’re filled with military ID’s and not much else.

Any suggestions where to look specifically?

Had found some from spider cellar or lucky drops near FEMA camp.

Kryxx: I talked to firefighters about that scene in Walking Dead, s05e05:

Where they climbed on top of the fire truck, and sprayed the zombies to death with the fire hose.

I said, “No way that works. Hollywood nonsense. You can’t use water to destroy something’s brain. Can you?”

The firefighters were like, “Well, on the show they didn’t turn on the pumper, and it doesn’t work without that, but HELL YEAH YOU CAN. We thought that scene would have been over much quicker than was depicted. If I sprayed this at your head, the flesh wouldn’t melt off slow, like on the show. You would no longer have a head the second this crazy amount of water hit you.”
