That’s nice to know, as a horde of zombies chasing after you (With 5.5 spawn rate and Fast Zombies mod activated… Along with Zombie Night Vision mod…) is very unnerving. Especially if you just started a new world with a new guy.
They’re not actually windows, just recolored walls. The windows are high up near the ceiling. So breaking one down is actually just breaking down the stone walls.
Not having seen a gun shop for a little while, I assume they’ve been updated? I came across two now that have metal doors and reinforced windows… That’s pretty cool, seems legit haha. But… how do I get in now?!
Smash something metal and craft a makeshift lockpick set or three. Pick the lock on the door and you are good to go, unless it changed in the past few versions. If all else fails, you can use a ‘universal access key’ aka high speed heavy vehicle.

Or an acetylene torch.
Shameless double-post
What are some good ways to find petrified eyes? I know about museums already, but are there any other reliable sources? My Ring of Frigid Suffering isn’t enough to stave off my urge to collect artifacts!
Is there a way to make an item acid-immune by editing json files?
Specific item? Would require two edits: copying the material(s) it uses in materials.json and setting the copy’s acid resistance to desired value, then making the item use the copy’s material IDs instead of normal ones. Do note that will likely invalidate item for cutting up.

Pawn shops, mansions. I don’t know about reliable, but that’s where I usually find them.
Where should I look for books that can increase my First Aid from level 3 to around level 5 ?
The last couple of fire station I visited only has “Guide to Advanced Emergency Care”, is it always this book or do you get random first aid book ? Visited 4 Libraries, a hospital and a couple of doctor’s office; no dice.
Have tons of CBM but too risky to install at level 3 First Aid
similar boat although Im still in first summer so I have a ways to go yet. Would military camps have sort of combat first aid books around or something that could help? Maybe Schools…or labs…Can’t think of anywhere else that would have anything that might resemble first aid other than what you mentioned already.
try librarys, shools and labs.
A mansion might do too.
Good luck.
So, I found a small collection of USB thumb-drives… some with software on them, some with nothing. Do these serve any purpose at all, or are they just taking up space in my truck? I asked once before, but the answer focused more on the software on the drives than whether or not there was some way to USE them.
You can use the hacking software in electronics and the med one for a quest i think.
The ram left behind when you extract the software is useless itself . however you should be able to break it down for an electronic part… not sure which it was anymore .
how do you use that hacking software? I got shut out of docs office and police station trying to hack them with software in pocket
its only usable in crafting a control laptop afaik.
huh so you don’t use it to hack you use it to build a hackers laptop… that makes sense.
if your going to hack control pannels like the ones you insert key cards into you should build an electro hack.
whats difference?
