Nice trick.
I want to start installing bionics on my character but im not sure if my skills are high enough to have a good chance to succeed, so could someone tell me if my skills are high enough and if not then how high should they be.
Electronics: 3
First Aid:3
Mechanics:6
Unless you have an intelligence of 10 or more, I wouldn’t go near things like he fusion blaster arm.
You should be fine for lesser ones, though, so long as you haven’t mutated down to 1 intelligence.
When "a"ctivating them, a sceen give you your %age of success before you decide to use it or not. I’d suggest smoking a fag and snorting some coke before any installation attempt.
Quick question : how do you exit that screen without installing them?
Cataclysm: the only place where getting high on every drug there is and then performing complex surgery on yourself to install high tech gadgets into yourself is a good idea.
Esc maybe q, not quite sure.
couldn’t find any key to get me out of that installing menu without installing (or failing) a CBM. It would be a useful feature, because otherwise there is no way to see the success chance of installing one.
I’m sure I have exited the install bionic screen before when I had an abysmal chance to install.
Edit: I just tried in game and esc closes it without trying to install.
for some reasons it doesn’t work for me
What is the use of an electrohack ? What kind of electronic machines it activates?
Keycard readers. You need to have computer skills to have a reasonable chance of success though.
hmm, it doesn’t work on computers, yet i need computer skill to use it and electronics skill to make it… kind weird
So it can be used to access military bunkers, for example?
Edit : Yes, it can be used to destroy/shot-circuit the card reader, making access impossible.
I guess it’s time for some C4.
I was in a science lab looting some CBMs and all of a sudden manhacks and zombies scientists were starting to spawn and turrets were spawning in every other room making escape nearly impossible. I barely made it out and i was just wondering if that is normal because i may not head to anyother lab anytime soon if turrets start spawning in rooms after a while.
So when I use my pocket knife it says I whack what ever I’m hitting… How do I stop whacking and actually cut the damn things?!
Sometimes. After checking about five different modules, I found that with two of them ESC would not back me out.

I realized just how useless the bionic trait currently is. Doesn’t make much sense to have a laser finger if you don’t have an internal battery >:(
You should probably avoid it unless you have super high electronics.
All players that have the android trait should automatically start with a maximum of 10 internal power.
If you are installing bionics later then you will need to find both an internal battery and a method of producing power before they become useful.
Then why can’t I use my finger laser? I already ate like 12 sticks to try and fuel up, but it still says I have 0/0 power.
Did you install the finger laser later or was it your starting bionic? From the looks of the code only those characters who start with an active bionic will have 10 starting power, those who start with a passive one will start with 0 max power.
