Guys, I’m new to the forums.
How do I have the “Gate Out” bionics works? After I finally managed to install batteries to level up my power, when I try to active it, but nothing happened!
DO I need to do some other phrases? Thank you in advanced!

Gate out? Haven’t seen that one before… Anyone know what it is?

It supposedly creates two way portals to the netherworld.

It’s listed in “Future bionics”, so I guess it’s just a placeholder without any function yet.

Something you really don’t want to mess with.
Any future bionic that has anything to do with opening gates to hell is bad freaking news.

Honestly I can’t wait until we’re able to accidentally (on purpose) summon Cthulu or Hastur. Better yet, we could introduce a Sanity system.

“C’thulu dies!”
“…C’thulu reanimates, but now he’s radioactive!”
“You lose 10 SAN!”
“You curl up into the fetal position and start gibbering!”

OK, Just like what I thought, it IS a FUTURE bionics, I got it by chargen from android trait. :slight_smile:

The hell? I thought future bionics were stuff that was planned but didn’t already have an item in game, probably doesn’t work.

Yeah, I also get a Metabolic charger from the begining.

I think there is no CBM item for the future bionic, but the chargen process may grant you one of them.:slight_smile:

what is K dynamics and K mass for vehicles?

oh ya i’ve gotten two of those through the android trait they are really fun to play with especially the insta darkness one helps throw animals off you if you don’t smell that is

Is there any way to craft a roll-mat, cot or something to sleep on? I’ve been looking in my world for something portable to sleep on but with no luck. If there are any could you tell which skill is needed to craft it? thanks.

I think the shelter kit has a floor that makes you sleep better?

Regardless, you can sleep on seats (in cars) and they’re as warm as makeshift beds.

Nope. Floors of shelter kits and tents are just simple floors. You still have to carry a roll mat or cot with you if you are worried about sleeping well.

You can construct a makeshift bed, but im not sure if it is portable. You can also find cots in military surplus stores and roll mats in various hardware or even clothing stores, but i dont think you can craft them.

You can’t transport those.
Anything crafted by the construction menu (*) creates static structures, not items you can pick up. The latter is limited to crafted (&) items.

For example, the brazier is an item you can craft. To make it work you have to (a)ctivate it, which actually deletes your brazier and replaces it with a static brazier structure. By (e)xamining that static brazier you can disassemble it, which deletes the static structure and spawns a brazier item back again into your inventory. It actually shares the same functionality as traps (the same applies to roll mats and cots).

Makeshift beds, on the other hand, are built directly over the tile you choose, and can’t be interacted with in any manner from then on.

Is it a bug that it’s impossible to build a makeshift bed in the cellar of the evac shelter? It would be a perfect position, but it always says: ‘You cannot build here’.

Neither can chairs, but for some reason you can bash chairs apart but not beds.

Also, ‘Do you want to step on that Brazier? Y/N’ really lights my fire.
Maybe we should add braziers to trap caches. Just because.
Maybe you could get your foot trapped in it while it’s on fire.

As for the bed in the cellar thing, I’m really not sure. You do have all the tools, nails, sheets and planks to make one, right? You’re not short a few nails or a hammer or something? That said, I think evac shelter cellars are treated differently, since if you have an NPC in your party they seem to warp underground-- and you can see any other underground areas on your map.

You can only build over floortiles, while the one in the shelter basement is rock floor. To build there you should first build a roof (construction 4) which actually builds both a roof and a floor.

Alternatively, build a locker, cabinet, or any other piece of movable furniture and move it around in the basement. Since the tiles it moves over turn into floor tiles, you can turn the entire bottom level into a house.
