So my buddy is playing with static spawn, has holed up in a firehouse, and came home the other day to find a skeleton in there somehow. Can stuff spawn inside a closed building like that? I play on dynamic and haven’t seen anything like that happen.
Shouldn’t be able to, no, but nothing could stop it from spawning right outside a door and then wandering in. (Alternatively there might be a spot where the ceiling is missing, have him check next time it rains. If that is the cause you might want to post about it in the garage forum.
worth mentioning the skeleton might have just gotten back up too. They do that if they’re not smashed up well enough. “Pulped” being well enough.
Or maybe there’s a zombie necromancer wandering around.
So Radiogenic doesn’t negate all the effects of radiation and you can still get radiation poisoning? My character has both Radiogenic and Radioactivity (started out with Minor Radioactivity but that mutated to just Radioactivity), but I’m getting serious radiation sickness symptoms, pain fluctuates between 100-250 and my stats are all way down. Do I have to whip up some purifier or is there some way to manage this? Purifier would risk me losing my otherwise epic combination of mutations, so that is only for when all other options are exhausted.
Purifier. Radiogenic can kinda-sorta keep up with Minor, but anything more and you’re screwed. (Radioactivity mutations radiate both you and the ground you’re on, and then the ground radiates you as well, so they’re Very Bad in a base.)
Yeah, only had enough components for two purifiers and lucky me, they didn’t get rid of Radioactivity. I’m trying out as an infected Broken Cyborg now, at least until I get one to survive. Just now one infected broken cyborg was killed by a zombie dancer turned zombie hulk squad. That one was a first for me.
So a Riot control bot showed up. It’s blinding me through a closed metal gate.
Is this supposed to happen?
If I’m about to install a solar panel and a roof onto the same square of a vehicle, should I do the roof first? Will doing the panel first mean it’s stuck under the roof and won’t charge?
And I’ll let my buddy know not to sweat that one skeleton, thanks.
Car part order doesn’t do much, you can install them in any order you want.
Car solar panels specifically ignore (car) roofs. Bionic solar panels don’t - if you have Solar Panel CBM, you won’t charge if you’re under a roof, but your car solar panels will still work.
Honestly, is there a part scripted in the Sheltered starting scenario where the area surrounding the LMOE must be filled with Zombears? Nowhere else have I found them in such quantity.
The Sheltered scenario starts at advanced date, which means the animals have all been zombified already. Good luck!
Now I realize why you get so many points for the scenario. Winter+no food+no food source and more stuff out to kill you, it all makes perfect sense now.
Bullfrogs and spiders are edible. Bullfrogs are hard to catch, but my NPC managed to kill many of them. Spiders fight back and are good at it, so you have to be careful.
Still, even with no resources other than those you collected in the shelter, it’s usually easy to grind up some early melee skill and run into a city to camp there. The scenario doesn’t warrant even half the point bonus it is worth.
there is a way of auto instaling cbms on ground?
installing cbms is something dangerous therefore it should have a check but for recklesspeople that method might be cool? anyway i see no reason why one should implement this . cbms should be rare. if tghey are so plentyfull that this is needed theire spawn should be tuned down instead.
I thought so, then I tried it Happy grinding early melee skills on zombears…
i dont know on which experimental it was but when i started a sheeltered scenario once i went out of the shelter and zombies started spawning right on top of me like teleported in. it didn t stopwith the spawning. in came everything from normal z to hulk till i was dead. Had hordes activated… never happened again to date i guess it was abug … it was funny.
Horde spawning can be really bad at times. I had a horde spawn and zerg rush me from a pool (heh, get it -[sup] spawning pool[/sup]). Not even swimmers, regular zombies. Also had zombies spawn few tiles from me in plain sight.
Though it’s still much less destructive than dynamic spawning. Dynamic spawning does almost the same when it is working correctly.
