All armours got halved a bit back.
I’ve found, at least with fonts, that software rendering is way faster than accelerated rendering. I am running at high resolutions/font sizes too.
I’ve got at least like a 2-3x speed-up, but my machine has decent single-thread performance (my gpu is higher end though, which bewilders me when 2d stuff is slower using cpu-only acceleration)

You need fabrication as well as tailoring for survivor gear, pretty high as well, im thinking 6 but im not 100%

5 for basic survivor gear and the heavy helmet and gloves. Maybe it’s 6 for the heavy suit though.

I looked through the JSONS and it seems it’s fabrication 7 now.
Yeah, Tailor 7, fab 7. If you want an easy way to look these things up, use the Item Browser. I think it’s automatically updated every time a new experimental comes out.

But for now… my problem is how to get Fabrication from 6 to 7. How do I actually do this? I recall reading something about you only getting experience by crafting stuff of the difficulty level equal to the level you need to upgrade from or something like that.
I don’t see anything requiring level 6 fabrication that I can craft.
Wait… I think I might be OK. Apparently it’s difficulty level plus one that continues to give experience.
First of all, Dg there are books that only take 10 mins to read that can take you to lvl 10 fabrication, i think its japanese swordmaking,
and second, just a quick tip, you can disassemble ovens for sheet metal to make braziers so you can make a fire indoors safely… and it doesn’t get constantly put out by rain.
Already built a stone fireplace… although I think I do get hurt occasionally when next to it, which is odd. Is that new in the experimentals?
Unfortunately I haven’t found those books. I have plenty of books, just not those.
A more pressing problem is… NPCs…
I have had enough. They need to go. Is there a way to complete disable them in a current game? Or just STOP THEM PICKING ANYTHING UP. For god’s sake surely that must be possible?

Kill them. But yes, in the options turn off static and random NPCs. You’ll have to gen a new world though.

It’s a world setting, turning it off won’t effect preexisting worlds unfortunately.
I think you can go into world options of that world and look for random npcs then set it to false

No i don’t think so, never seen any of them try.

Yes, 100%.
I found this humming pin thingy which is actually pretty awesome because it heals you for more than it actually decays your body but it also has this secondary effect of the sky starts to dim and it makes it pretty much night for a short period of time, does this artifact affect other creatures
Speaking of tasers… Are they worth using on enemies and if so, which ones? I’m unsure what enemies are immune to what.
Teargas for example. What is that worth using on?
Not sure about tazers, but I’ve heard that teargas is deadly against triffids.
