Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

Don’t you have to disable cruise control to push vehicles past safe speed?

I might be wrong mind you.
No, you’re correct iirc. By the way, safe speed isn’t safe driving speed, it’s the speed at which you can be reasonably safe in thinking your engines won’t simultaneously explode from the stress of pulling your doomwagon past the speed of sound.
There’s a safe driving speed now? Whatever will they think of next?

How to put clean water in the RV kitchen unit? I saw on the description that it has a mounted water tank, but I have no idea of how to use it.

Thanks in advance.

I don’t think it really does have a water tank. It just takes water from whatever water tanks you install on your vehicle.

You fill it by entering your vehicle construction screen with clean water in your inventory. There’s a key to press to fill it up.

Oh, thanks. I know how to fill the tanks, but I liked the tip.

I had a generator in a LMOE shelter, I just put controls on it, turned on the engine when I wanted more juice, and turned it off when the battery was near full.

Tell me more about generators, i think i’ve missed something there…

Start a vehicle construction somewhere. Stick solar panels and several car/truck batteries on it. (although solar panels have been nerfed now, lol)
Start a vehicle construction in your safehouse. Frames, controls, batteries, headlights, vehicle welding rigs, RV kitchens and water tanks etc…
Just swap the batteries around from the solar plant now and then and never require welders/soldering irons/cooking fires etc again.
Alternatively just stick an engine and gas tank in it and charge the battery with it.

Personally I’ve never gotten around to making one as by the time I’m building a vehicle I’ve usually got a powered integrated toolset which mitigates the need for welders and soldering irons-- and the RNG seems to hate me with regard to stocked garages.
God bless CBM Solar panels/Joint torsion ratchets and internal furnaces.

so i just got my first close look at a slime pit, and i notice there is a down ramp. where does it lead to? is there a boss down there i can kill to eliminate the slime pit?

Just loads of slimes. Oh, so much slime… Also porn magazines for some strange reason, but nothing else.

If you go down there don’t go to far from the entrance. The place is huge and once you are lost you will never find your way back. But really, isn’t all that interesting.

darn, wish there was a way to shut down slime pits.

You are forgetting alternators, without alternators on the engine, the engine will only thrust (power) not electricity (epower).
In fact, combustion engines will normally drain electricity due to the ecu and spark plug etc.

Yeah, was just testing the current experimental and noticed the alternators. Can’t wait for the next stable, looks like there’s a whole load of juicy new additions.

That video you have as your sig… why.
I know it says don’t click it, but that generally means the opposite.

Unfortunately the don’t click it link seems to have been b&t, so I’ll find a new one.
The other one is actually about bullying.
Also Necrophilia.

Question about selecting equipment

I´m playing the experimental version, so I have no limit of inventory due to hotkeys cap.

My problem is that I´m wearing some clothes with no hotkey, and i´m not able to select they for any action, or for key asignation (the “up” and “down” keys only move in the inventory list)

¿How can I?

Drop all items without a letter, then take off the clothes you want to.

I want to make a deathcar…

  1. Is the windshield necessary for Z crushing?
Is it able to block projectiles from outside, prevent crush damage applied to player (if any), or it’s just a decoration?

  2. FoodCO kitchen buddy and RV kitchen unit…They have different functions right?

  3. What are the biggest containers (volume) which can be installed on car and
    (a) is an “obstacle”
    (b) is not an "obstacle"
I’ve searched through the Wikia yet it’s not up to date…

Thanks for the help!

Drop the most. Nothing happens. (You can see the problem in the right column u_u)

The pic is broken.

Just drop all of your items.

I think a windshield acts like a board… except you can see through it. So you don’t NEED one. In fact quarter panels might be better in all ways other than blocking rain. They do block projectiles until they break. But they break fast if not reinforced. Put quarter panels in front of them.

I don’t think a FoodCo Kitchen Buddy actually cooks anything. It’s more a crafting assistant that can make bullets.

The containers I know about are:

Stow board: Like any other board, so they block movement. Also they can hold stuff.
Trunk: Blocks movement.
Floor trunk: Doesn’t block movement. Low capacity.
Cargo space: The best capacity I know of. I don’t think they block movement.
